I don't watch much "Main-stream media"....but I still don't know what huge protest stories are going on.

Given that Skins's island is now ten years old, and there's many there who've been there for years and years, who joined up in middle-age or late middle-age after a lifetime of chomping on pharmaceuticals, licit and illicit, as if popcorn, it's probably reasonable to expect to see more and more signs of dementia among the primitives as their faculties petrify and fall apart.
