This is why for every law enacted, one law must be repealed.  There should be a number cap on laws.

It still against the law to drive a motorized vehicle through Dallas without a person walking ahead of the vehicle holding a lighted lantern.  Image what that could do for Central Exprwy. and LBJ Frwy.

TEXAS:

Up to a felony charge can be levied for promoting the use of, or owning more than six dildos.

I hope they don't go through Schade's luggage at DFW.   :lmao:

I love that site. :p

Georgia:

Quote
It is illegal to use profanity in front of a dead body which lies in a funeral home or in a coroners office.

Quote
Donkeys may not be kept in bathtubs.

Quote
Signs are required to be written in English.

Having signs required to be in English is DUMB? Last I checked, this was a nation that uses English PRIMARILY.  :hammer:

Oh, and Georgia's most infamous Dumb Law:

Quote
Against the law to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp.

I think it should be a 5 to 1 ratio.  Want to pass a new law?  You have to get rid of 5 first.  It would be easy at first then it would get down to some serious business.

Dumb New Hampshire laws...

You cannot sell the clothes you are wearing to pay off a gambling debt.  (Actually, I agree with this one...)

On Sundays citizens may not relieve themselves while looking up.

You may not tap your feet, nod your head, or in any way keep time to the music in a tavern, restaurant, or cafe.

I just found out* that in Greeley CO that it is illegal to walk your chickens on a leash.

I don't know if they had a problem with people choking their chickens in public and simply misunderstood the issue or what but there you have it.

No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour.

According to that website, the following are laws in San Fransisco

Quote
Prohibits elephants from strolling down Market Street unless they are on a leash.

It is illegal to wipe one’s car with used underwear.

Persons classified as “ugly” may not walk down any street.

It is illegal to pile horse manure more than six feet high on a street corner.

Giving or receiving oral sex is prohibited.

I'd like to know how often the last one is enforced  :rotf:

I hope this applies to ptarmigans because they are related to chickens.

No more than two packages of beer at a time may be purchased, unless you are buying from an official “beer distributor”.

From Pennsylvania. Also known as the two six-pack rule. Very much still enforced. Unless we buy beer by the case at a distributor, you can not buy more than two six-packs at a time. You can buy two, take them to your car, walk back in and buy two more.

Nevada:

It is illegal to drive a camel on the highway.

It’s still “legal” to hang someone for shooting your dog on your property.

In Clark County:

An ordinance makes bringing a concealable fire arm into the county illegal unless it is registered with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

In Reno:

It is illegal to lie down on the sidewalk. (Which I think is good, keeps the homeless from sleeping on the sidewalk)

Benches may not be placed in the middle of any street.

Sex toys are outlawed.

Quote
Sec. 8.14.040. Sale of sexual paraphernalia.

It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer to sell or display for sale any device, including but not limited to dildos and artificial vaginae, designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs.

(Ord. No. 2805, 1 (11.12.157), 2-11-80)
