The Silent Purge

Seems to have been a quiet little purge lately. Lots of snickering, no-name mentions. Oddly enough it happened while the boggers were 'away'.

Thank you, mods. Things are a little less trolly 'round heah.
 I'd like to start a new style of grave dancing at DU, where we don't actually name who's been voted off the island -- rather just focus on the fine work done by the mods of keeping the kitchen spotless.

It's probably more classy; plus, the recently betombstoned don't get to see their name in lights.

197. In reality,  "free" speech only applies to a public forum. The owner of this "membership only," private site has the right to refuse service to those not wearing shoes, or anyone else who does not follow his rules. DU has a much more liberal policy, and shows more tolerance, than many on-line discussion forums.

They've only purged two of my moles in the last six months, and none of my deep cover ones.

I am afraid they purge more of the faithful than infiltrators...

Unfortunately Jake is a very active participant in another website that has several ongoing forums, which he participates in, that offer an ongoing commentary on DU.

Their basic premise is that we are gutless idiots who pander to Obama.

They also make daily criticisms about the management of DU and the rules here.

Mr. Allentown found their company more enticing than ours.

I guess they're talking about the site that was linked here the other day.

   I've never been to Free Republic. They aren't my party so I have no interest in them. And the accusation that people come to cause trouble and start fights is untrue. I can't go into it in any more detail because I would be deleted even if I was careful to not make it a personal attack even while being under personal attack myself (which happens often) and that, in essence, is exactly why people start looking around for other options.

By the way, do you realize that in cutting off the left, the democratic party moves further toward the right? The left kept the democratic party honest and true to ideals.
