DUmmy TwixVoy, fired from a clerking job by Target for insubordinaton and a vicious temper, has finally scored an interrview.

Poll question: Guess how much this job pays?
 Well I have finally found a job... (unless something goes wrong with the final formalities tomorrow)

GUESS how much it pays before reading the answer below....

Here are the job requirements for an AT&T premises technician position:

******Be on call 24/7******* including holidays
*College/technical training preferred
*Drive a company vehicle to customers premises and other locations in the field (telephone poles, boxes, etc)
*Climb telephone poles and work on them
*Climb ladders 28 feet
*Ability to work in attics and crawl spaces
*Wire outside VRAD boxes
*Work outside in all weather conditions
*Be able to work mandatory overtime 60-70 hour weeks
*Install and work on inside wires
*Install network interface devices
*Replace customer equipment
*Educate customers on service features
*Verify all services are working correctly
*Work independently with little supervison
*Near perfect driving record
*No criminal history

$9/hour!

Now I am not going to complain about this because there is certainly potential to move up to higher pay, and apparently the union is bargaining for much higher pay for this position as I write this from what I understand. (of course who knows if that will happen)

But DAMN is it that all jobs in this country are in a massive race to the bottom? This job pays as much as a fry cook.

DUmmy TwixVoy will not admit that $9/hr is the pinnacle of his career.
The "final formalities tomorrow" are most likely the results of his drug test, a common DUmmy stumbling point.
Hopefully, he made use of the DUmmy's best friend and career savior, the Whizzinator.
If the cannabis doesn't show up in his test, DUmmy TwixVoy will soon be enraged by AT&T's corporate immorality and his personal mistreatment.
He will then blow up and be fired.

must have a pretty high turnover.  90 days of hell, lots of training, oh, and no bad mouthing customers that happen to have a mccain/palin sticker on their cars.

But, if the knuckle head makes thru the probationary period there is probably going to be a pay raise in its future.

He lies. I spent a few years in the CATV/Telephone industry. The LEAST he's getting is $14.
Unless, he was hired as a TEMP.
