Robert Novak, Chicago Sun-Times Columnist, "Prince of Darkness" died Tuesday.

WASHINGTON--Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Novak, one of the nation's most influential journalists, who relished his "Prince of Darkness" public persona, died at home here early Tuesday morning after a battle with brain cancer.

"He was someone who loved being a journalist, love journalism and loved his country and loved his family, Novak's wife, Geraldine, told the Sun-Times on Tuesday.

Novak's remarkable and long-running career made him a powerful presence in newspaper columns, newsletters, books and on television.

On May 15, 1963, Novak teamed up with the late Rowland Evans Jr. to create the "Inside Report" political column, which became the must-read syndicated column. Evans tapped Novak, then a 31-year old correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, to help with the workload of a six-day-a-week column.

Speaking of classy, two of the classiest DUmmies seem to have swirled down the memory hole.
The DUmp isn't the same without classy input from DUmmy UGP and DUmmy greenbriar.
I hope it's something serious.

I dunno; the subway cat's been out for a while, although she posts primitive bonfires in her "journal."

Either the subway cat's on one of her visits to that big building with small rooms with soft walls, or she's having problems with that new boarder.

They couldn't stand Novac because he exposed their heroes for what they were; total useless, lying politicians, only looking out for number one and playing CYA in order to keep getting elected to the public trough! If any of them had to get a real job, they'd be on foodstamps like most of their lazy constituents.

edited to add: The only time I ever had to apply for food stamps was during the Carter years. That ****er put everyone out of work!
