This was before your time, sir, but anyway, the self-portrait nadin "paints" of herself with her own words (the words being the "paint") is strongly reminiscent of the late Bella Abzug, a (D) congresswoman from New York City during the 1970s.


She was your usual typical liberal Democrat, and caricaturists used to have a great time exaggerating the size of her nose (alas I can't find any images of that) and her big floppy hats.  In truth, she had a schnozzle for which the above professional pose did not do justice; it was a most remarkable, even legendary, proboscised appendage.

Loud, brassy, flamboyant, kitschy.

Bella Abzug wasn't known to be a drunk like nadin, but one imagines nadin is very much like Bella Abzug drunk, if the late congresswoman had drank.

How long do you think until YOU, the most compliant of "press" people, are also under attack?

It is a thing to consider, as you push that meme... because tomorrow it might be you.

Nadin, who at times does indeed play reporter and is aware that my rights to COVER these protests, are just as much in risk as those of the protesters to well, assemble and petition their government.
