yurbud (1000+ posts) Thu Nov-11-10 12:12 PMOriginal messagePoll question: Will Congress enact the deficit commission recommendations? From cutting Social Security & Medicare and raising the retirement age to cutting the top tax rate, I don't think there will be too much disagreement on DU about whether those are good ideas. The real question is whether Congress will vote to enact the recommendations and whether Obama will sign it into law. What's your prediction?Poll result (12 votes)It will pass in House not Senate (1 votes, 8%) VoteIt will pass in Senate not House (0 votes, 0%) VoteIt will pass in both chambers, but Obama won't sign it. soon as you find your manhood all else falls into place.
If Ft. Hood was "workplace violence," then the Hindenburg was an air show.
I don't know if sand glows in the dark, but we're gonna find out.

Your freedoms were lost when we didn't start impeachment on 9/12 And nobody has fought harder, more persistently, for accountability for the Bush-Cheney intelligence policy failure which "allowed" those hijackings to happen than I.This is nothing but a faint echo of the the very real freedoms to secure communications that were lost because America did nothing to bring accountability for the deaths of 3,000 people that day and the million or so who died unnecessarily thereafter in the GWOT.
To borrow a phrase; cags your ignorant slut.If I make $5,000,000/year in CA and live in a $2,000,000 house how much in income/property tax would I pay?If I make $5,000,000/year in TX and live in a $2,000,000 house much in property tax would I pay? Now, it doesn't matter what that number is. Really. Because I can earn ALL I WANT in Texas and not pay a single dime in state income tax. I can then choose to live in a hovel and save $$$$. It is my choice. Not the states.Just my take on it though.KC

Maybe it will cripple the military so much, disgusted conservative lawmakers will insist upon defunding it 70% to get it where it really should be in comparison to other countries like Russia or China...Of course that won't happen, but if DADT does turn the military into some quasi social laboratory, at least they won't be using *those* resources to try and figure out how to keep us in a perpetual state of war...
