Virginia house candidate from Smyth County, on sex offender list, says 'the past needs to be left in the past'

Heck of a resume' item!  :whistling:

Quote
An independent candidate vying to represent Smyth, Carroll and Wythe counties in the House of Delegates is a convicted sex offender who was one of more than 156,000 felons to have his rights to vote and run for office restored this year under Gov. Terry McAuliffe's 2016 clemency order.
(And one of the yea votes for the restoration was Ralph Northam, now a candidate for governor)

Smyth County resident Kenneth D. Browning is making a longshot bid to unseat Del. Jeff Campbell, R-Smyth, in the 6th House District.

Browning isn’t the only ex-felon contending for a seat in the House this year.

In Fauquier County, Libertarian candidate Nathan Larson is on the ballot after spending 16 months in federal prison for threatening to kill former president Barack Obama. The Fauquier Times reported that Larson also had his rights restored under McAuliffe’s executive order.[/I]

They 'failed' to mention that the guy also threatened to kill Bush.

When VA governor and Clinton crony gave felons the right to vote, he also gave them the right to run for office.
