Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm earlier this week chartered a military jet to attend a diplomatic summit in Ukraine as the Pentagon struggled to evacuate Americans and allies from Afghanistan with limited time and operational resources, sources told the Washington Free Beacon.
Granholm's military flight took place amid the United States' frantic effort to airlift tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan ahead of the Taliban's Aug. 31 deadline and as the Department of Defense was forced to call in civilian airlines to bolster its strained evacuation fleet.
The secretary's use of a military jet—and particularly the flight's timing—may raise questions for the Biden White House, which is responsible for approving such flights. Trump administration officials faced allegations of wasteful spending for their use of expensive military charters for trips that did not have national security urgency.

Not sure what the Secretary of Energy could do regarding A-stan, except maybe wring her hands, rend her garments, and sing praises for SloppyJoe. (The image of him falling asleep while the Israeli PM was talking is epic.)

Rose McGowan Hits Oprah As Hypocrite: ‘She Is About Supporting A Sick Power Structure’
Actress Rose McGowan pulled no punches recently when she discussed Oprah Winfrey’s connection to alleged sexual abuser and record executive Russell Simmons.
At least 13 women say Simmons harassed, assaulted, or raped them. Several of those women say they were under 18 at the time of the incidents.
At one time, Winfrey was attached to executive produce a film titled “On the Record” about their claims, but she later backed out, reportedly at the behest of Tina Tchen, the former head of the MeToo non-profit Time’s Up. Tchen’s group was ostensibly founded to support victims of sexual abuse in Hollywood, but it became embroiled in scandal when it was revealed that she advised disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on a letter intended to discredit one of his accusers. Tchen, a former Obama White House staffer, and Roberta Kaplan, chairwoman of the Time’s Up board, ultimately resigned.
Winfrey admitted to Fox News that Simmons had pressured her to walk away from the documentary, but she insisted that that had nothing to do with her decision. “I want it to be known that I unequivocally believe and support the women,” she told The Hollywood Reporter at the time, adding, “Their stories deserve to be told and heard.”
After Winfrey announced she was backing away from the film, Apple dropped plans to air it on its streaming platform.

Title: Jen Psaki Goes Into Full Gaslighting Mode on the Leaked Call but Trips Over Her Own Words
Yesterday, I reported about a leaked call between Joe Biden and Afghanistan (former) President Ashraf Ghani. Reuters got a transcript and audio of the July 23rd call during which Biden allegedly told Ghani that he had to publicly present the “perception” that the fight against the Taliban was going well “whether it is true or not.”
“I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said. “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”
At the time of the call, the Taliban controlled about half of Afghanistan’s district centers. Biden urged Ghani to hold a press conference with other prominent Afghan leaders to outline a new military strategy, which he argued would “change perception, and that will change an awful lot I think,” Reuters reported.
So remember, this is the same Biden who was telling Americans publicly in July that no, the Taliban wasn’t going to take over the country and who later said to us that there was “no one who was saying” that the Taliban was going to take over. Yet it seems he knew how bad it was behind the scenes and was trying to get Ghani to say something to cover that even if it wasn’t true. Just like he, Joe Biden, did to us.
On top of all that, if he was going to reduce troops below 2000 using money from the Defense Department, Joe Biden had a legal obligation to brief Congress on the danger of ISIS, the Taliban, al Qaeda, the risk for the expansion of terrorism, and the capacity of the Afghan security forces. He did reduce the troops but then he waived that mandate to inform Congress so he wasn’t telling them how bad it was.
So he’s lying to our faces, blowing off his legal briefing requirement, and trying to get Ghani to basically do what he was doing and say something that wasn’t true publicly. Can we say impeachment yet?
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the leaked call and she did all she could, running as far and as fast as she could, from the question.
REPORTER: “Was the president in any way pushing a false narrative in that call?”
PSAKI: “I am not going to go into the details of a private conversation, but what we saw over the course of the last few months is a collapse in leadership. And that was happening even before Ghani left the country. What the president has conveyed repeatedly, privately and publicly, is you need to stand up and lead your country. And that’s something he said in a press conference in July in a public forum as well.”
A “private conversation?” How is this a “private conversation?” This is a leader-to-leader call that we have every right to know about, particularly because of the national security importance and the safety of Americans. Why doesn’t she just say she doesn’t think we have a right to ask legitimate questions about anything? Because that’s essentially what she’s saying. And what’s even more offensive and gaslighting about this is she then cites the very press conference during which Joe Biden lied his head off to us about the Taliban not being likely to take over the country.
Oddly, though, Psaki didn’t talk about “private conversations” when it came to President Donald Trump’s leaked call with the Ukrainian president. Then, it was very important that we knew all about it. Not so much now, when Biden can be nailed for losing a country, Americans, and allies over it.

Feel good, PC preachers have a lot to do with it too. Most large churches don't want to scare off and/or offend people, so they don't preach uncomfortable things like we are all sinners, there are only two options when we die (Heaven or Hell), Jesus is the only way to heaven, you can't earn your way into heaven, and just cause the world says fill in the blank is ok doesn't mean God does.
Lack of Biblical literacy and accepting the literalness of it digs the hole deeper.
Being a scholar isn't necessary. Know it, read it, get a little bit better with it every day. When we fall off, as we all do, get back on and keep moving forward.

The stupid-stream media jumped on the "horse-dewormer" bandwagon, but they completely failed to check the Left's favorite author-itay for science (besides Fauci), the CDC. CDC puts it on their chart along with a few other meds.
Earlier this week, comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan told his followers that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 26. By the time he posted the video three days later, he was feeling much better. The media had a field day framing Rogan as anti-vaccine because of earlier comments he made that questioned the need for young, healthy people to get vaccinated.
What sent them entirely over the edge was Rogan stating that he took ivermectin in addition to several other medications. The media and a bunch of Twitter blue checks decried his use of a “horse dewormer.”

Something else Rupar has become infamous for over the past year or so were repeated instances where he engaged in some mask/COVID-shaming of people who went to sporting and political events sans masks during the pandemic, and the respective Governors of their states like DeSantis and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem. Like other Karening journalists, Rupar strongly insinuated that such folks were killing people by allegedly causing “superspreader events” instead of taking precautions by staying at home.
But over the weekend, Rupar got hilariously hoisted with his own petard after he posted pictures of himself with family members at various events, some indoors, some outdoors, where he wasn’t wearing a mask. The one he took the most grief over was attending a packed wrestling event where very few were seen wearing masks – including Rupar:

This article dates from February 2020, but it's always good to take a look at the professional politicians that profess to "look after the proletariat" and otherwise make themselves out to be shining examples of virtue.
Case in point - Bernie Sanders. He's a Marxist, of course, and has not hidden his admiration for such despots as Castro and the Soviet system.
He pretends to be just another one of the boys without a lot of resources, but we all know that's a lie. Multiple homes, millionaire status, and he doesn't hesitate to fly first class. Most of us know it takes big bucks to fly first class and Bernie - while he looks like he was "caught" in the photo at the link - can't hide his hypocrisy.

Something a bit more recent - Nancy Pelousy's chest-beating insistence that she's a "devout Catholic" which, of course, doesn't at all line up with the Catholic church's stance on abortion. Nancy is completely OK with abortion (it's a leftist tenet) but it's not a tenet of the religion and it's certainly not condoned. Even Pope Francis, who is an absolute card-carrying Leftist, doesn't break that particular mold and recently has condemned both euthanasia and abortion as features of a "throwaway culture."
Pelousy's mouth got her in trouble with the church's elders, namely Archbishop Cordileone. Using a previous example of another church elder who rolled up his sleeves and actually excommunicated several miscreants for their insistence on segregation, Cordileone doesn't mince words in his op-ed.
Both Pelousy and Biden should take note that their hypocrisy is not looked up favorably with the church that they profess they're beholden to.
They're not, of course. The only thing they worship is power. But I doubt that Cordileone sees it that way.

To the recent racist attack on Larry Elder, the LA Slimes actually broke down and dedicated a whopping whole sentence to the issue -- and the crowning note is, they did it on Twatter.
Recall years ago, when a rodeo clown made front-page news for a week because he donned a Barack Obama Halloween mask? It was called racist and intolerant, and how it represented the worst of our nation and showed we had not yet moved into a post-racial society.
Well, today, we see a far more direct instance of this racism...and it is no big deal. Larry Elder, campaigning for the governor's mansion in the California recall election, visited Venice to walk in a homeless encampment when he was accosted by a white woman in a gorilla mask who threw an egg at Elder.
Instead of spending column inches on hateful racism, the paper gave it all of one sentence and then dutifully interviewed those in the area who were upset with Elder's arrival.

I heard this woman in who posted the Twitter link belowan interview yesterday. She was there and has first hand experience with the incident. She is appalled at how the LA slimes reported the incident and commented on the picture the slimes chose to print. The woman in the picture is Soledad Ursua and is the person who invited Larry Elder to tour Venice to see the homeless problem there. The picture was taken as Elder was about to hug Soledad but the picture looks like he is slapping her. There were numerous pictures of the egging incident and the woman.in.the gorilla mask but the times chose to run with deceptive picture.

I heard this woman in who posted the Twitter link belowan interview yesterday. She was there and has first hand experience with the incident. She is appalled at how the LA slimes reported the incident and commented on the picture the slimes chose to print. The woman in the picture is Soledad Ursua and is the person who invited Larry Elder to tour Venice to see the homeless problem there. The picture was taken as Elder was about to hug Soledad but the picture looks like he is slapping her. There were numerous pictures of the egging incident and the woman.in.the gorilla mask but the times chose to run with deceptive picture.

Elder and his security guys handled it well. What struck me about the egg-throwing incident is how quickly one of the antifa/BLM thugs came to confront Elder's security guy when the only thing the security guy did was to deescalate. And he got slapped in the process.
As much as it galls me to say this, that was the correct long-term approach. Any retaliation by Elder or Elder's security guy would have been plastered all over the legacy media and they would have conveniently edited out the egg-throwing and the vitriolic racist spew coming from gorilla-head.

John Bogdanski, who previously worked on the IRS’s Commissioner’s Advisory Group, claims there are millions, and that half a million of them may be involved in similar chicanery. He also said the IRS doesn’t have enough people to look into all of the “S” corporations.

Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin insisted last week that the highest number he’d agree to on a massive spending bill is $1.5 trillion—a position he’s held since the summer. A memo he sent to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer dated July 28, 2021 set out his conditions, including this figure.
Progressives have openly laughed at the number, however, while others said it’s a complete nonstarter.
Now, the West Virginia Democrat appears to be changing his tune.
Centrist Liar Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Tuesday signaled he is open to a budget reconciliation bill in the ballpark of $1.9 trillion to $2.2 trillion, above the limit he set just last week of $1.5 trillion.
Manchin and his fellow moderate Pisslord Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) are still far apart from liberals such as Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) who thought the upper chamber had a deal to spend $3.5 trillion on President Biden’s human infrastructure package, but the two sides are inching closer.
“I’m not ruling anything out, but the bottom line is I want to make sure that we’re strategic and we do the right job and we don’t basically add more to the concerns we have right now,” Manchin told reporters Tuesday. (The Hill)

While President Joe Biden blamed Republicans for not voting to raise the debt ceiling, Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., said on Newsmax that the Democrats can do it themselves but apparently do not want to and are not being honest with the American people.
"The president's being a hypocrite," Scott told Tuesday's "Spicer & Co." "Democrats control the House, the White House and the Senate, right? They don't need a Republican.
"What they don't want to do is they don't want to tell people what's actually going on."
Democrats realize they are stuck with this problem, particularly as they seek to pass $1.2 trillion in infrastructure funding and another $3.5 trillion in a budget reconciliation bill that could pass the House and Senate without a single Republican vote.
"Democrats know that the American public is fed up with this," Scott told co-hosts Sean Spicer and Lyndsay Keith. "They're fed up with the inflation, they're fed up with reckless spending. They know this reckless spending is causing their gas prices to go up, food prices go up. It's hurting our poorest families."
Even worse, Scott said, Democrats will not go on record for raising the debt ceiling. Instead, they are planning to merely suspend it through the next fiscal year.
"The Democrats, they want to play a game; they want to say, 'oh, yeah, we're not raising the debt, so we're just going to suspended it, so nobody will know what we're doing,'" Scott continued. "They're being disingenuous. They can do it without any Republican votes. None."
Scott added that Democrats should vote to raise the debt ceiling so that the country can avoid going into default on its debt for the first time in its history.
"They should do it; they should never let the country going into default, but the reality is they ought to say, 'let's live within our means,' like every family does," Scott said. "Let's stop hurting our poorest families by causing inflation, but they don't want to do that."
Democrats want to tax and spend, and they should own that, according to Scott.
"This is just, these are just nice sound bites by the president and by [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer, when they should go do their job," Scott said. "They want to go spend the money by themselves. Republicans won't go along with that, so if they wanted to do that, and they will raise the debt ceiling by themselves.
"It's still unfair the American public, but the Democrats will have responsibility for what they're doing."
Scott vowed he will not vote to raise the debt ceiling, "period."
"The Democrats have maxed out the credit card, and they don't want to be responsible for going to the bank and saying, 'hey, I need you to raise it some more,'' Scott concluded. "They just want to say, 'hey, just forget about it just for that. We don't want to talk about it.'"

On Oct. 1, Newsom announced a vaccine mandate for children age 12 and over to attend in-person classes at public or private schools in California. The required vaccination won't go into effect until the FDA fully approves the COVID-19 vaccine, and removes the EUA. The mandate, which is the first of its kind in the United States, likely would go into effect next year — as early as January.
Any student without an exemption who refuses to get the COVID-19 vaccine would be forced to do independent study at home.

Rep. Jim Banks, who is heading up the GOP investigation on 1/6 (because Pelousy couldn't see to it to appoint McCarthy's selection on the so-called "Select Committee" to which Pelousy appointed Cheney and Kinzinger, the two GOP NeverTrumpers), gets stonewalled by none other than Merrick Garland in his request for the SAME information that DOJ provided to Pelousy's sham committee.
It seems to me that President Asterisk is going out of his way to torpedo his own party, and his front man Merrick Garland - a complete and total turd by any measure - looks the part of the deer-in-the-headlights after being mauled by Cotton and Cruz in the Senate Judiciary hearings.
Granted, all of this political theater is kabuki, with little or nothing coming out of it other than more hot air, but it is entertaining.
At any rate, Mike Miller's column provides more detail about the sheer hypocrisy of the Dems, once again at work stealing the taxpayer's money while propping up tapering turds like Garland and Asterisk.
