Read the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union; this is what a document relevant to the present looks like and what your constitution should be. It's true that the enforcement of the established rights have suffered due to the nature of the EU as a union of so many sovereign nations but the Lisbon treaty went a lot way to remedy that. As the EU unifies further in the coming decades, this will become more and more binding.
You know, if I didn't know any better, I would swear that (for the most part) all laws are enforced equally among the various states
right now and have been so for many decades. Seems to me this Eurotwat has committed self ownage but is not quite intelligent enough to figure it out....
FAILThe charter bans torture and the death penalty
Did I miss a memo? Did we all of a sudden make torture legal?
The fact that madmen and animals don't understand reason and will not stop committing crimes because someone said "please" is totally lost on this DUmbass. Madmen and animals do not reason but they do understand fear. And the fear of being executed is enough to stop many people.
FAILand established the protection of workers as a fundamental right
Not the function of a framework for the establishment of government. We have had comprehensive labor laws in place for well over a century. What "we the people" do not want are labor unions as a protected class.
FAILaccess to health care
No one in the United States can be denied health care nor turned away from a hospital for non payment as per federal law.
FAILand protection against being unjustly fired
Labor laws, unions, see above.
FAILFor the most part, the United States constitution is outdated and fails to explicitly deal with issues that affect Americans in the present
Since when did life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness become "outdated"? Since when did the idea of having government to protect people and stay the hell out of their lives become a failure?
EPIC FAILthe process of amending it cumbersome (not that making it easier to change would help you, the nature of your political system being what it is)
Done that way on purpose to prevent tools like DUmbasses from ****ing it up for everybody.
FAILwhich leaves the judicial branch of your government with too much power, as they are more or less free to choose and is or isn't "constitutional" based on their personal politics.
Well, we have had a rash of activist judges in the past 40 or so years; most of them that think like you, DUmbass. But, we're working on it...
But I'm sure I'll be eaten alive for saying so; even among the self-hating liberals of DU, American exceptionalism is alive and well.
The enemies of your way of life are
lauging at you. Your precious modern charter is nothing more than a tool they will use against you until you live under their rule. Think the Nazi occupation of Europe was bad? The islamokazies will make that look like a slap fight.
Think very hard before you look down your nose at us, Eurotrash, and see what the long term consequences of your "fundamental rights" are.
