I just turned off MSNBC. can't stand it.
Criticism is fine but this is a public assassination they are allowing. Sununi was the last straw - letting him and his venom have air time.
wtf. un****ingbelievable

I'm fine with letting Sununu show his venom. He sounds unhinged.

I turned it off last night after Chris Matthews hyperventilated and haven't turned it back on..
I'm sure you guys will let me know when cooler heads have prevailed

better to know an unpleasant truth than live in fantasy world..
dwelling in fantasy means you never make needed changes...

wtf?
I know full well how the punditry acts in times like these - they are like jackaled piranha's, why do I need to subject myself to this pain when I have seen it all before.
I wonder just who is in fantasyland here.

right wingers live in a right wing fantasy bubble
and some left wingers apparently are happy to live in left wing fantasy bubble where nothing unpleasant is ever said or ever happens.

bullshit.
the only fantasy I have is that when Obama is called horrendous names and falsely accused of all kinds of shit, my fantasy is that reasonable people will see that for what it is and not jump on the anti-Obama wagon they've been riding in and turn up their noses at us 'cheerleaders'. They are so lofty and wise and worldly, not like us who consistently support the President..
13. woolldog (Moocher) - Thu Oct 4, 2012 (2:42 pm) Reply to Whisp (#9) - Post Count: 6,208
you can support him ....
and still realize he did a piss poor job last night.
You think Maddow and Shultz don't support Obama?
14. Whisp (Moocher) - Thu Oct 4, 2012 (2:47 pm) Reply to woolldog (#13) - Post Count: 14,149
and you are trying to talk me into your opinion of the President's debate performance?
and if I don't, then what? I'm a sychophantic cheerleading delusional fantasy dweller?
hey, I've heard this song and dance before over these past 4 years. and I know who othe ones are that get suddenly very excited when the media pulls out their hammers on Obama and let Mittshit get away with his lies. Now it's just expected that he lies and it's a bit boring for the pundit crowd, they have to move on to some more exciting new meat - and a piece of Obama always sells well.
18. woolldog (Moocher) - Thu Oct 4, 2012 (3:14 pm) Reply to Whisp (#14) - Post Count: 6,208
I have no interest in talking you into anything.
I'm disagreeing with your notion that those criticizing the President and his performance don't support him.
21. Whisp (Moocher) - Thu Oct 4, 2012 (3:21 pm) Reply to woolldog (#18) - Post Count: 14,149
there is criticism and then there is what is happening in the media right now
surely I don't have to point out the difference between something constructive and the kind that certain people wait in the wings for to make yet another unjustified assault on the President's character.
and no, I still can't agree with you that Obama did so terribly last night. He did fine and there is no reason for all this bru ha ha except for the media needing a shot in the arm of fake excitement. **** 'em all.

MSNBC .... THEY NEED TO FIRE ANDREA MITCHELL'S ASS
SHE lets sununi do that every time. why do that let that horrible, hateful man on the air. He is one person I wish was DEAD

Andrea Greenspan and John Sununu are coordinating their hate against Obama.
She lets him on because he's stupid enough to do the dirty work she would like to be able to do. Everyone is in on the act.

Thus dissipating all those ratings they gained
You know, I enjoyed MSNBC during the conventions, and I know their ratings skyrocketed. I'm not looking for them to blow smoke up my ass. If the president didn't have his best debate, fine. Tell me that. But to fixate on what he failed to do rather than on all the lies the other guy spun, to give the victory to the guy that THEY FREAKIN' ADMITTED LIED ALL OVER THAT STAGE, is unforgiveable. They're once again falling victim to the same shallow crap that always hooks them in. "Mission Accomplished!" Oh the stagecraft. Chris Matthews LOVED it. LOVED our "commander in chief" in his little flightsuit. Did he crap all over him for acting like he singlehandedly defeated those who attacked us on 9/11 ... even though the Iraq War had NOTHING to do with the Iraq War? Nope. He fell all over himself with how amazing Dubya was for being such a tough guy.
Rachel, who I love, is free to tell me that Obama had some missed opportunities, but was Romney the best debater who ever lived? No! And with all the lies he told, why wasn't she covering those? It's just like, "Somebody talk me down!" four years ago. Get over it, Rachel! Seriously.
Anyway, I feel sad, because I'm done with MSNBC for now. I repeat: I don't want them to blow smoke up my ass like Fox, but the least they can do is cover the WHOLE picture instead of just crapping all over the president. It's the usual BS from our side. They're so desperate to look objective that they bend over backwards to give away the store. I'm done with them. I'll stick to the internet and just read the news stories. This 24-hour opinion-news is shameful.

I feel the same way and won't be watching them for a few days
I hope they lose a good size of the audience for a few days so they get the message loud and clear.

Rachel and Al are the only two that have shown any integrity after the debate...
The rest have shown their true colors.

that's pretty well how I see it too.
and am not surprised that those two are the ones that aren't raging idiots. There is a reason and that is they are professionals.

Go out to a coffee shop
Sit down and find a Republican you can debate. Give the performance you wish Obama would have last night.
Trust me, working on converting a Robme supporter will cure your depression in a minute.
That's what I did this morning......turned off the TV and went out and fought FOR OBAMA.

wish I could do that but I can't as I am not an American.
but this too shall pass, I've seen this feeding frenzie on the President many a time - things settle down and the screetching assholes pretend that their asshole screetching never happened. but I remember.
