I still think it was ninjas.

The possibility cannot be discounted, given the Warren Commission's peculiar failure to even look into the Ninja angle.

It was that guy Sam Beckett that keeps leaping all over time and finding himself in different places

It's a piece of shit, but functional if maintained.  It comes in second to about every other 20th-Century bolt action rifle ever made.  The scope and mount on Oswald's gun were added commercial items, not original equipment.  Also difficult to even find ammo for one, the two main Italian WW2 rifle cartridges were unique to Italy, nobody else used them.  An often poorly-made Italian interpretation of the Austro-Hungarian Mannlicher design, the two virtues it would have had from Oswald's point of view were that the carbine version was shorter than about any other stock military surplus rifle and it was dirt cheap (though the ammo, not so much).

Thanks for the info DT.

Based on what you know about the rifle do you think a person could make those three shots in the time frame without a ton of luck?

And they never confirmed or denied that the ninja were involved.  Hmmmmmmmm....

To get off three shot requires only the time to work the action twice, since he would have been starting with one up the pipe.  Oswald had been a Marine, and was no slouch with a piece apparently.  I don't remember what the total exposure time was, IIRC exactly which bullet hit whom has been quite the CT debate item ever since the event.  But if you go with the first round going right where it was aimed followed by two sloppier shots, it takes less than ten seconds to get three rounds off with any bolt action rifle.

It was totally Oswald.  The guy was a nut. He shot at some other politician a short while before.
