My question to Pamela is this: if she's so ill these sorts of things happen to her, why the Hell is she traipsing around rather than staying at home or in the hospital until she gets well?
I think a person with uncontrolled bowels is a public health hazard, and needs restrained so as to not squirt and dump it so that other people unknowingly come into some sort of physical contact with it after an inevitable "accident."

But now we come to that Great Pandora's Box, intestinal disorders of the primitives.
I don't believe for a minute that Pamela is afflicted with an authentic case of that disease, mostly because of her hypochondrial conduct. She likes to be "sick" as it gets her attention, and perhaps one time she had a bad case of running bowels, and extrapolating from that created this "affliction."
As with many primitives, all Pamela needs to do is add fiber and roughage to her diet, after which no more problems. But she doesn't want that; she wants the attention and pity.
