I'm so old that I remember when BMM was deservedly nicknamed the Clinton News Network. Except for admissions-against-interest - stories that cross a Lib/Prog narrative or claim - I avoid BMM.
My understanding, at this point, is that the "investigation" of Cuomo incidentally exposed Zucker's undisclosed relationship with a VP. The problem leading to his resignation was not the relationship per se, but that he didn't disclose it as it was beginning. IOW, a violation of CNN's sexual harassment policies, not any sort of contractual morals clause (who expects moral behavior among the MSM, anyway?).

Apparently Zucker's affair started at a previous employer, and when he came to BMM (2013?) he brought her over as well. Apparently their affair was an open secret among many at BMM.

He's a divorced guy knocking boots with a fellow employee, but it isn't as if she was an intern or 1st year employee. The gal was high up in the CNN hierarchy.
Zucker should be fired for causing their ratings to plummet and turning a once respectable news organization into a "We Hate Republicans" network.

Eleven years ago, when Zucker was fired from NBC Universal, he reportedly secured a very cool $30 million golden parachute. I can well imagine it'll be double that now. Zuck made tens of millions along the way between salaries and bonuses and he's not hurting -- neither is his girlfriend whom he shielded along the way as she marched up the corporate ladder.
Follow the money, and there's a lot of it. Zuck got himself the cute nickname "Teflon Jeff" because he didn't learn from his mistakes and he kept being rewarded for making them. The latest pile of shit he created in CNN is simply the latest example. Zuck went all-in on the destruction of DJT and now that DJT's out of office, there was nothing to fill that void -- so CNN's ratings hit the skids and they're still crashing and burning.

In case you haven’t heard, CNN’s Jeff Zucker is out of a job. He resigned (not by choice) on Wednesday, bringing an end to his nine-year tenure as head of the liberal network. Ostensibly, the reason given was that he failed to disclose an affair with his long-time lieutenant, who is still employed by CNN. But there’s plenty of reason to believe that the story goes much further, and it appears to include misconduct regarding former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
During his stint, Zucker essentially ran CNN into the crowd probably a malaprop, with "ground" being what I think was meant), with a viewership drop of 80% residing on his record. Still, the hand-wringing at his departure was extensive. Examples began to surface of CNN hosts and staffers expressing outrage. How could they possibly replace someone who had failed so spectacularly?
That angst starts to make more sense, though, when you think of things in terms of preferred narratives. It wasn’t that Zucker was doing a good job by the numbers. The network was and is collapsing, after all. Rather, it was that he was protecting the right people, within the network and outside the network.
And when it comes to the latter group, it sure seems like the January 6th Committee was colluding with Zucker. What’s my evidence for such speculation? How about members of the committee asserting that Zucker’s departure represents a threat to “democracy?”
I'm guessing the 1/6 Shamvestigators are afraid they've lost their most reliable info-filter and PR sock puppet.

Well, I confess I'm not glued to the MSM poop fest, though once in a great while I accidentally encounter some of that when Mrs. E is busy watching Chris Hays and Rachel Madcow. I tend to wonder if Zuck would still be in power had he not shitcanned Fredo. I would think so. "Live and let live" seems to have been the overall motto that all of these cretins were living under. Zuck and Mollusk's relationship was reportedly an "open secret" which doesn't make it secret any more. But here’s the thing…
Zucker’s unethical relationship was an open secret at CNN. In fact, it was an open secret for years. And while Alllison Gollust claims the relationship only turned sexual this last couple of years, no one believes her. There are credible reports Zucker and Gollust were doing the bad thing all the way back to 1997 when Mr. Gnome and Madam Sidepiece worked at NBC.
CNN knew about this. I suspect there is more to this.

New details are emerging about the conduct of former CNN executive Allison Gollust, who resigned from the network this week.
Reports previously indicated that she and then-CNN president Jeff Zucker had given "talking points" to then-Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the early months of the pandemic.
However, a new report from The New York Times alleges Gollust, who previously worked for Cuomo as a communications aide, forwarded topics the governor wanted to discuss for a CNN interview in March 2020, a revelation from the network's internal investigation.

Stelter said, “When CNN President Jeff Zucker abruptly resigned this month, people wondered if another shoe was going to drop. Zucker tied his exit to his failure to disclose a romantic relationship with Allison Gollust But was there more to the story? A few days ago, Gollust also resigned, and now there are stories about the reasons why. It seems the second shoe was landed. Well-placed sources have told me the situation involves, quote, ‘serious ethical violations.’ Their reps have pushed back on that strongly, and CNN’s parent warner media is not sharing specifics.”
