Two measures that can help preserve American democracy.
In my opinion, getting rid of the filibuster is necessary to prevent control by the minority. That cannot be permitted in a democracy.
Secondly, it is necessary to have a strong but fair justice system. If some folks are "above the law", the justice system cannot work. They would lose all credibility.
We need to strengthen our justice system and do away with the filibuster. In my opinion, those two measures would help to preserve our democracy.

1. We need Campaign Finance Reform.
Until that happens our Democracy is bought and sold by the rich and powerful.

2. Back in college in 1968
my professor told us that we have 2 systems of justice, one for the rich and one for the poor. Nothing has changed since then.

Dems defend the filibuster as essential to American "democracy" when they find it useful. The same is probably true of kt.
Nobody above the law? Start with Hillary, Leaky Leahy, Schifftyroo, Pelosiroo, Swillwell, Peter Strzok, Hunter Biden, and James Comey.

And Fauci. And Cuomo.

The one sure-fire way of ending the USA as a Constitutional Republic and as a country that values freedom, justice, and liberty would be for it to become a direct democracy. And make no mistake, that is what kentuck and the other primitives want.

I wonder if Kentuck would feel the same way if republicans want to do away with the filibuster after January 2023? Prevent control by the minority right?

Senate donks used the filibuster 300+ time in 2020 alone. Of course then it protected democracy and now it will kill democracy.
