I doubt Trump's absence is due to Trump being smart. BUT....
Whereas we would all love to hear he has had a massive medical incident that has left him with the communicative abilities of a jar of grape jelly, we can‘t discount that some sly Republican handlers are just keeping him holed up somewhere, frustrated because he can‘t go out and get some fresh publicity, but all the time training him for his big triumphant acceptance speech at the Republican convention.

Sure, the speech will be full of lies and the same incoherent nonsense we‘re used to. But if they are delivered in a strong, confident tone, THAT is what the media will report. They, and 99% of Republican voters, will ignore the content as they did with the „debate.“ He could read listings from an extensive Chinese restaurant menu, and the reaction would be no different. All he has to say is „sleepy Joe“ and not even Van Jones will bother to remark that the rest of the segment questioned the virtues of substituting chicken for pork in your moo shu pancakes.

I would MUCH rather hear that Trump is in some secret clinic where the best medical minds are being tasked with trying to revive the grape jelly. We must, however, be prepared for the possibility that while most Republican strategists are evil, not all of them are stupid. We may not like the reason for his absence, and would be well advised to prepare for Mr. Brain-cement to deliver his nonsense with brash confidence that will leave his adoring crowd cheering wildly. It won’t matter to them that they haven’t understood a word he said. Most of them know that Shakespeare is classic literature, and they don’t understand a word of that, either. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

1. In the real world, Trump is still out and about doing public rallies.

2. In the real world, sly Democrat handlers are trying to keep Biden holed up in the White House, looking for trainers to get Joe capable of a coherent 60-second triumphant acceptance speech.

3. Here is the sound of Joe's brain at work, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU7F5qKX07w.

If Trump wins in November and the Dems don't pull off a real insurrection, LIEden's fall from Dem grace will be like the demolition of an abandoned Las Vegas casino/hotel.

Dems, Media Losing Their Minds Over Trump Sitting Back and Watching Them Implode Post-Debate Debacle

One oft-repeated criticism of former President Donald Trump from his critics on the left and even some on the right is that he doesn’t have a filter, and doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone and to keep quiet.

“Will you shut up, man?” then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden once demanded during the first of their two highly contentious 2020 presidential debates.

But while Trump hasn’t exactly been quiet in the aftermath of President Biden’s disastrous debate performance last month, he’s surprisingly taken a somewhat muted stance so far – standing back and watching from afar as the “Dems in disarray” narrative takes shape in living color, threatening to derail the Democratic Party’s hopes of keeping Trump from winning another term in office.

Predictably, Trump’s strategy is raising some eyebrows and causing some fretting on the left and in the MSM, as first indicated by the New York Times seemingly trying to draw him out for comment earlier this month:

I think the biden crime syndicate is terrified of being booted out of office. This cuts them off from the money for influence peddling and then there’s hunters legal problems that they won’t be able to fix. Then phony dr. Jill will no longer be the queen of the hill.
