I am told that I am a probationary member. I know it has do do with me being new, but what precisely does it mean, how does it affect me, and how do I rid myself of it.

It's based on your post count.  We've had problems with new people in the past so anyone still under probation has their posting priveliges limited.  You cannot edit or delete your own posts, and a few other things.

You'll have to reach a certain number of posts until you have full access to the board.

Thanks for the info. I saw mine say "I_B_Perky Just Off Probation" and thought maybe I had said/did something wrong... specially since I had just told Franksolich that West by God Virginia beef was waaaay better than Nebraska beef.  :fuelfire:

I heard that back east (everything east of the Missouri River is "back east," remember), cattle raisers feed their livestock shredded newsprint mixed with molasses.  Obviously it works, but it ain't corn.
