Nominations thus far, after which I'm out of here for a while again.
for the William Rivers Pitt, the "Bill," for the most memorable primitive the past 15 years:

The ones who've already won and aren't eligible any more:

Come on now, folks; it's true that all the "good" primitives have already won this award, but surely there's some worthy odds-and-ends. The bitter old Vermontese cali primitive isn't memorable, for example? MannyGoldstein? The idiot Briggs primitive?

I'm not sure if I'm going to put Skins down twice on the ballot, as an individual and as one of the three stooges (it's okay to nominate a "group" of primitives, provided one defines them clearly enough).
Skins by the way is one of four primitives that if a winner, someone other than franksolich will have to write that particular award. I'm naturally biased towards Skins, the brooklynite primitive, the buzzy one, and the husband-hating elleng primitive, and would be hard-pressed to find anything negative to say about them.
I'm not sure what to do about the "hacker" (quotation marks intentional, or perhaps not) who shut down Skins's island for two weeks; that seems an eminently credible nomination and candidate, but at the same time that was so extraordinary it might, or might not, deserve its own unique award.
We'll see when I put out the ballot.
