Title: The Record
Post by: Revolution on December 22, 2012, 10:17:38 PM
Calvin Johnson just broke the record for single season recieving yards. While I am a Pack fan, and don't care for the Lions, congratulations are in order. He's also tied for most receptions in a calendar month. 43 in December, I jsut heard. Wow. The guy is a sure fire HOFer if he doesn't get bad injured.

Crazy that the receiving and rushing records could be broke in the same year. If AD breaks the rushing record it will be more impressive IMO because of how much of a passing league the NFL has become.

I only figured him for about 96 yards today, which would leave him 200 to get next Sunday. I was wrong. He went under even my standards with 82 yards, I think it was? The record is safe, IMO.

Jason Witten just broke Tony Gonzalez's record for most receptions by a TE in a season.

Well he didnt break it but Im not sure how safe it was AD got 199 yards and ended up just 9 yards short of the record. He also had 31 less carries than Dickerson when he set the record so still a pretty impressive feat.

True, it's not bad. He's a hell of a tailback, but if I had bet somebody, I'd be a little richer right now. Wish I had.
