I couldn't stomach to watch it but what I did see was her saying that the money would come from bringing the troops home and taxing the "rich". At the automotive plant he spoke at yesterday he said he would shift money spent fom the war into his socialist work programs. That's a direct admission that the war isn't costing too much money.

it has always been my impression that liberal opposition to the war is partly philosophical (or pseudo-philosophical), and partly just reflex.  complaining that the money spent on the war would be better spent at home is just an attempt to make their unreasoned position seem reasonable.

it's not like liberals have ever had a problem with deficits.

Basically, he's out there buying votes with all of his "programs".  Perhaps it should be expected that he use some of his money to pay for maybe half of it?
