Is TN Sen. Hagerty using Nazi symbolism?
He posted a tweet promoting something he wrote in the Washington Times (as if that is something to be proud of). I found the illustration downright creepy. I am no expert on these things, but doesn't that weird eagle have a 3rd Reich vibe? Something about those lightning bolts in its talons on the right. Almost like the SS symbol. Is that my imagination?
Yes it is your imagination and your lack of awareness. That is a tweek of the Seal of the United States, which is plastered all over DC, federal buildings, even our money (oh, that's why you don't recognize it), which goes back way before the crazy housepainter democrat was dreaming up his first gas chamber.
