Title: Deer Cube Steak
Post by: md11hydmec on September 18, 2008, 04:48:39 PM
Tried this tonight.  Feel free to modify.  Kind of made it off the cuff tonight.  Tasted really good.  I tried to remember and judge the ingredients.  Let me know what you think.

1lb deer cubesteak
1 C mayo
2 Tbsp prepared horseradish
1 C flour + 2 -3 Tbsp
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
2 Tbsp Olive oil
1 C milk--Approximately.
Mix mayo and Horseradish and smear on steak.  Dredge in flour.  Cook in nonstick pan with 2 Tbsp olive oil until done.  Remove from pan, add 2 Tbsp butter, and 2 Tbsp flour(from dredging if you want) and cook cook over medium heat making a roux.  Add milk slowly so you don't get lumps and get it to the consistency that it'l not be glue thick but will coat the back of a spoon nicely.  Plate deer and pour gravy over.  Serve with mashed potatoes or biscuits.
