According to polling company Gallup, only 32 percent of adults in the U.S. have a great deal or a fair amount of trust in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately and fairly.
As Statista's Katharina Buchholz reports, this marks a slight decline compared to 2022 and is identical to the historical low of 2016.
Meanwhile, the share of those not trusting the media at all reached a new all-time high of 39 percent. The number had stood at 27 percent in 2016.

Gallup also reports that the level of trust in the media varies greatly depending on political preference.

I remember when the term "Gallup poll" meant something significant. That term instilled a measure of trust, of reliability, even with the so-called "margin of error".
Not any more.
But yeah, when you're continually exposed to the lies, half-truths, and especially stories that are not reported in the lame stream media, you're going to believe that nonsense. And when you get at least a modicum of what's really happening, it's quite easy to be distrustful of what used to be the "Evening News".

Wait, the DUmp keeps insisting the VRWC controls all the media and it should not be believed. Did they miss the memo, or did Gallup? :confused:

You can change the channel and they are all spouting the same nonsense almost verbatim. :argh:
