Punishment for invasions
Why is it, that the Nazis were hanged for invaded a defenseless nation over 60 years ago, while president Bush, his cronies, soldiers behind the Abu Garib scandal, the Marines behind the slaughter in Fallujah and other cities and Blackwater operatives were cleared of war crimes against the Iraqi people and gotten away from being persecuted for invading Iraq?

4. Becuase the nazis were utterly defeated.
Should the world team up and defeat us militarily you would see things like that. But I don't think a show trial of these warmongers would solve anything. However an impeachment would serve to bring back some of the respect the world used to have for us.

Oh I thought they were discussing the illegal alien invasion of the USA.

Never mind.

ok DU ... once again, take it from the top..

17 resolutions by the UN .. 12 years of Iraq thumbing their nose at the world, saying, "come and stop us!"

dont even get me started on the atrocities happening under Hussein.

if the Iraqi people really were being killed by the US military in flagrant disregard for their lives... i think the world would certainly know by now.

idiots.

Wouldn't he world be morally responsable in trying to stop us if we were doing such things on the scale they claim we are at? I can't imagin how that evil GW can make the entire world tremble at his feet and keep them from stopping him from acheiving his goal of world domination......................or is that Dr. Evil?

You know, when a crazy man waives a gun at the police and threatens to use it, he's quickly taken out for being a threat and menace to society. Why can't they see Saddam in the same way? Saddam was waving his proverbial WMD gun at the world for a long time. We know he managed to get off a couple of shots too. And he was reloading. I don't understand why DUmmies fail to realize this.

I can't even comment on the rest of the crazy in that DU thread.... :hammer:

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Nice analogy.  And later when the crazy man's gun turns out to be unloaded, does it matter?
Nope.
