I gotta laugh... while many here still deny this is happening [View all]
I am reading my own County's Action Plan. Yes, it is from two years ago, but it follows on a theme. The best part is, my Board of Supervisors are not precisely bleeding heart Liberal Democrats, but they get it.
They also are very sensible and their actions have led to much lower electricity rates than rate payers in the County. So while people here continue to poo poo this... I am seeing concrete action these days. Now back to reading... it is exciting light reading for a Sunday afternoon, and will go well with the series on Climate Change.

you might want to find out what your own local officials are doing regarding climate change. I am reading what mine are doing.

I'll stipulate the globe has warmed; especially in the last 50,000 years, then end of the last Ice Age. It has also warmed since approximately 1715, the end of the Maunder minimum. And since 1830, the marked end of the Dalton minimum. It appears the planet has warming and cooling trends even when internal combustion engines are not in common use.
I'm sure ClimateBlob is up to the challenge....

Here you go, since you cannot do google searches on your own.
While you are at it, you might want to look for the Chula Vista, National City and San Diego City plans for starters, You might want to add Los Angeles County, Los Angeles City, Riverside, Sacramento, you know the whole shibang. AB 32 is your friend.
As I said, while you keep saying THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, la, la, la, and spreading lies like what you have above, governments ARE moving.
Now, as I told with the economy. we can look at the same data, but it is obviously a waste of both our times. We might agree, and I doubt it, that the sky is sunny sometimes in my fair city, or yours. Yup, that bad.

Oh, that's right, I didn't. All I said was that in your initial post you failed to supply any data or specifically reference what you were posting about. When asked, you made an oblique reference but still declined to provide any information. Since you were making a claim that "something" was happening it would seem to be your responsibility to supply some supporting documentation; instead you seemed to fall back on a classic "appeal to authority".
Where did I spread lies? Oh, again, I never did. I just asked that you supply some data to support your assertion.

As I said in a reply on another thread. If you don't want to reply/debate, that's fine. I don't have an issue with that. But when you *do* reply, I decide if I'll respond, not you.

I enjoy a healthy debate. I like the interaction with those holding opposing views. This site is called Discussionist for a reason. We aren't here to be educated, or lectured, or informed in a one sided manner. We are here to debate and discuss the issues of the day. If you aren't willing to do that, then why are you here? Now, I'm not suggesting you leave - just the opposite. Engage, debate, even argue on occasion. We all learn something in that process.

I haven't said a thing - other than if we debated the issue you'd lose badly. You don't know a thing about my position on the issue because I haven't said a thing about it. Go ahead, point to anything in any thread anywhere on Discussionist where I've outlined my position on climate change. Go ahead, Nadin, go right ahead.

Then, when I ask you to point out the talking points I used, you couldn't find any. Do you know why you couldn't find any? That's easy - I haven't made my views known concerning climate change. Not to you, or not to anyone else here. Are you going to apologize for attacking me? I doubt it, and to be perfectly honest, I don't really get butt hurt over things like that, so it's not that big a deal for me.
