well that is great that someone's hubby is out helping their fellow man. That's what is expected of anyone. I however as a member of the National Guard and much later on as a person who acted as a go between for my county and the state national guard during times like this have probably put in more hours and effort then some dumb ass liberal who is going to have anywhere between 2-4 weeks of flooding. During the last round of flooding around here in Iowa we have a whole summer of flooding going on here in 2019. We had half a town of about 800 homes done in. Half of the population lost their home permanently after they took the governments handout for the flood. They couldn't rebuild after they got a check. it was as bad in 2011. Way back in 1995 we had flooding on both sides of the state, and I was out sandbagging the railroad crossing down by the Iowa Missouri state line. At that time, it was a little to late by the time my unit started work because the western side of Hamburg Iowa still ended up under water. back in 1964 my hometown and a lot of the area was hit with around 8" of rain and to this day you can still see where the water lever rose up to in the old National Guard Armory on the east side of town. It was waist deep in the building and on the eastern side of town where a local creek runs by the town. So yeah, I am sorry that the hurricane is making life miserable for people but compared to what has happen to others it's only a minor inconvenience.
