On Oct 7 1,139 Israelis were killed in a vicious attack, 815 were civilians. 479 Palestinians also died that day. Since then, 40,792 Palestinians have died while 339 Israelis have been killed.

40,000+ dead on one side. 339 on the other bothers me.

I don't hate Israel, but this feels very wrong to me.

I have an idea, why don’t you mind your own business about this. Let the parties involved work it out. Israel was brutally attacked and they are doing everything possible to crush a bunch of fanatics that want to destroy them. They are only doing what they need to do to keep their people safe.

Why did the DUmmie claim that something gave it "pause" yet it kept typing?

Regardless, the Hamas/Israel situation is fairly simple. If Hamas didn't want to get attacked by Israel they should have NOT attacked Israel. If Hamas is concerned that Israel may accidentally kill Palestinian civilians then Hamas should stop using civilians as human shields.

Is there any reliable source on casualties?  40K seems high on the Hamas side, even with them hiding in schools and hospitals.

I agree. You know, even as an evil rightwinger, I had some sympathy for the civilians until a month or two ago. At the time I read an article by a guy who went into the West Bank to interview people about Hamas. He figured that most would not be Hamas supporters. He found out that the opposite was true and had to leave the area fearing for his life.

If more cell phones/pagers/laptops or anything else start to blow up, then I am ok with that as long as it takes out a terrorist in Hamas or Hezbollah. If this didn't make those fanatics stop and think that maybe they should stop then by all means keep going. The more terrorist that die, the less the world has to worry about them.
