Sources say Aaron Alexis left behind two short phrases on the side of the shotgun used in the Washington Navy Yard massacre.

One of the messages scratched into the gun's metal reads, "Better off this way." The other is more cryptic: "My ELF weapon."

And they still have no idea why he did this....I wonder if those 12 families will ever get answers?

Probably never. I do suspect he targeted the DC Naval Yard because he was in the Navy and was discharged because of his arrests. I think he was retaliation for his discharge.

Look at his skin color.  I'm telling you that's how he got to where he was and was able to pull off this crime.  Fear of an EO complaint...even a false one and the subsiquent effect on military career has paralyzed just about anyone in the DoD from doing the right thing when they see red flags.

As I keep saying it's because of skin color.  The militry is paralyized by the fear of an EO complaint if something even as obvious as this gets denied.  Alexis was in the military he knows how tht game is played.  Same thing with Nidal the Ft. Hood shooter.  Look at how many of his superiors knew he was practically promoting Jihad when he was at Walter Reed...and they did nothing.

It's the nature of the EO system in the military...where just a person's "perception" how they feel someone says or does something where they are concerned can be filed as a bias complaint.
