This case was a perfect example of what happens when a defendant is tried in the media before he ever reaches the courthouse. The jury made the right decision based on actual evidence not deceptive pictures and edited audio tape.

Despite the best efforts of the prosecution to do exactly that - provide only deceptive pictures and edited audio tape as the evidence upon which this man's life hung in the balance.

I was at work when the verdict came down. My thoughts immediately went to this place, DU, MSNBC, and rioting.
Haven't heard of any riots yet, but I did hear they're marching over this in SF. Any truth to that?
Sadly, I actually EXPECT riots to happen. Hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe instead of rioting over someone they didn't even vaguely know, that was in most cases across the nation.  Maybe they should concentrate on their inter city cesspools were hundreds are getting actually murdered every year.

NBC cannot deny culpability as the person who edited the tape was an employee, although fired when the edit job became public, weeks later.
