Freakin' Disney Channel???
« on: January 19, 2009, 09:39:01 PM »
Turning it around there was some dumb show on DISNEY about Inauguration celebration!  I could have been knocked over with a feather!  Although the main focus was honoring the military and their families.  There were still stupid celebrities up there hailing the coming of a new dawn with the arrival of tomorrow.   :puke:  I couldn't subject my kids to such a thing.

What did you expect?

Surely you knew that Disney was a wholely owned subsidiary of the All Barack Channel network?

This morning they had about 20 kids telling the camera who their favorite president is/was.  Lots of different names and then like 10 Obama ones. I would be willing to bet not a single one of those kids had any idea about Obama's ideas, policies, past, controversies, or life.

No Barack here today, either. It's blackout day on my tv screen.

I'm in a very grumpy mood. I was checking my emails and had one from Vermont Teddy Bear, hawking a Barack inauguration teddy bear. Blech. You can't escape it. Obamamania is everywhere.  :whatever:

Heard there was a children's rock concert yesterday with the little Obama girls and Michele. It's getting the kiddy youth organized. This doesn't bode well for freedom as we know it.

Total whiteout at my house.  I intend to be out in the front yard at 11:00 AM so all my neighbors and passerbys will get the subtle message I am not watching the Clown & Puppet Show.

I heard even ESPN was going to cover it. Aren't they part of the ABC conglomerate too?

I was grateful that my regular morning sports talk radio duo stuck with the sports chit chat today instead of partaking of the Obama Kool-Aid.

I almost tripped and fell off my treadmill this morning when I was watching SC trying to get the basketball scores when oen of their talking points was Obama.  WTH?  In sports center.  I had to turn it.   :puke:

ON SPORTSCENTER? That's going way to friggin' overboard! I am just planning to watch 24 I recorded last night and other than that, no TV. Hell, I betcha even Rush will be taken off so the talk stations can broadcast it.

Tess, will appreciate this: My  morning was spent gloriously in a 90 minute step class--the fast, heart pumping, choreographed dance types and then my youngest and I have the tv on but it's got Max and Ruby and Diego on instead of the dog and pony show from DC. Jesus, there is a superbowl coming up with what used to be one of the worst teams in the league playing for the championship and they can't get out any more then Obama fawning :lmao: What a bunch of pussies(sorry)

Bursting into tears :lmao: Oh for heaven's sake, if this is what the American people are made of now, then we probably should be concerned..lol Apparently, some seem to have forgotten that the new president is just a man. It's really pitiful to see grown people have not grown beyond the point of what screaming teenagers were in the 60's when the Beatles hit the scene. cripes! And all the fawning is for naught...he can't deliver on a damn thing he promised..particularly in an economy that is in a recession that ironically he helped contribute too :lmao: sigh, the mind reals... :rotf:

It would be better to have been in a coma then to watch this disaster on TV.

There was a delicious exchange between a CNN reporter and two little kids (who happen to be black) ages 7 and 9....

CNN Reporter:  So, kids are you happy to see the first black american president?
KIDS:  "yes"
CNN Reporter:  So, why are you happy about President Obama becoming the new President?
KIDS:  "because he's going to give us free things and stuff"
CNN Reporter:  Okay..{nervous laughter}  back to you folks at the studio...
