Why does Joe Biden hate crippled people? </DUmode>
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

It was a mistake but it shows that he didn't even know the person he was praising which goes to show the praise was not genuine.  I don't think it is something we should focus on (and don't think it should be in breaking news) as I'm sure McCain and Palin will say something stupid in the next two months.

He walked up to him and said, "Good to see you, buddy." Seems like buddies would know if one or the other was in a wheelchair. Definitely not genuine on Biden's part.

Not as stupid as this--and not NEARLY as stupid as Obama's comments today, calling Palin a pig:

Funny thing is I don't think he meant it.  He is a moron and can't help but say stupid things.  With that comment he lost more fence-sitters.

you can't make this shit up.  "My muslim faith", "stand up", solid gold !
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

Oh, you can bet your ass he meant it.  As my grandmother used to say, "What's under the skin can't stay in."

Like most people, he can put on a pretty good show for a while, but he can't keep it up forever.  We're seeing the REAL Obama now, and lots of people are VERY disappointed.

If this had happened to a Republican - say, McCain - the Democratic media, DK, DU and every other liberal would be crowing about it for days.

Biden is a walking, breathing awkward moment.  He will step on it many more times, and much harder, before November.

I think that's why they're almost hiding him. He was in STL yesterday at a very small high school in one of the burbs. They expected a crowd of maybe a thousand. They had the principal of the high school saying he had no idea of why they selected that school.

BTW, Biden made the remark to the guy in the wheelchair in Columbia, Mo, not ST Louis. Columbia is the home of the U. of Missouri, a relatively small town almost half way between KC and STL.

Considering that this is the first story I've seen about Biden since Gov. Palin's acceptance speech last Wednesday, I'm just glad to know that the "Chicago Political Machine" hasn't found a nice soft spot next to Jimmy Hoffa for him to take a dirt nap.

Get somebody up there with real executive experience, and who knows of what the hell she speaks of, and poor Slow Joe just falls right off the radar.  :loser:

Bishops criticize Biden's abortion statements

By The Associated Press

Two prominent U.S. Catholic bishops said Tuesday that Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden contradicted church teaching by saying in a weekend interview that determining when human life begins is a "personal and private" matter of religious faith he would not impose on others.

The statement from Cardinal Justin Rigali and Bishop William Lori said Biden, who appeared Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," is the latest case of the U.S. Catholic hierarchy correcting a Catholic politician.

Asked on the program about when life begins, Biden said: "Look, I know when it begins for me. It's a personal and private issue. For me, as a Roman Catholic, I am prepared to accept the teachings in my church."

He added that while he believes life begins "at the moment of conception," it would inappropriate to impose that view on others in a pluralistic society.

Pretty funny considering the comments how they would be better advocates for those with special needs. I wonder how a guy who ask a man in a wheelchair to stand up, would be a better advocate than a mother with a Down's baby and an actual disabled man?

For once I can't fault him.  We all have stuck our foot in it -- and he handled it about as well as anyone could.

The pair, Barry and Joe, are gaffe machines. The press says, 57 states, Muslim Religion, lipstick-pig, that they are "words, just words" indeed simple slips of the tongue.

If McClain made 1/2 of these, the drive by's would say "WHOOOOOO, SENILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Recently, the drive by's have said McCain doesn't know what "honor" is when, in a show of mild anoyance , he refered an inquiry to him about honor to READ MY BOOKS for his definition. There is no spin that the drive by's won't try to boost Barry, and denigrate McCain, is there?
