Do any of you recommend any specific printer for general stuff while on the road? For use with laptops.

If I'm traveling, I look for Kinkos or FedEx.  Some hotels have guest printing available if they offer internet service.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

We have several prosecutors that travel around their districts and need to be able to print documents while on the road.  We purchase the HP OfficeJet 100.  Works pretty good.  Has a battery just like a laptop.

I know, but I'm talking about really being on the road. Like at a rest stop, and I look up places to visit within the next 100-200 miles.

Besides, and this is the most important thing, my wife wants me to get one for both of us to use.

NP, And I think there is only that HP and maybe one other brand.  So your choices aren't that big.
