I finally got to digging around the LAN/Network settings for my 4G receiver.  It was set to simplex mode only.  :banghead:

I changed it to duplex and 802.11n.  Now I'm getting 3mb up/down indoors.  I'll have to take it outside when I have my laptop with me.

My best on SpeedTest is 1.31 which is far below the global average.  I pay $49 a month to Windstream for it; no landline.  I have 4 choices where I live; Windstream, a local ISP through the electric coop which requires a landline, HughesNet or no Internet.
