Face it, Fast and Furious was a ****-up.
It should have never happened in the first place, it was a fatally flawed plan from the beginning, and innocents have paid for that mistake with their lives.
Once it came out in the open, somebody needed to fall on their sword, rather than playing politics with the issue. If the head of ATF or Holder had taken the blame and resigned, Issa and his crew would have nothing to go after. Justice would have been served and we all could have moved on.
Instead, we have this escalating scandal that threatens this administration, and is starting to drag them down like an albatross. Frankly, Holder needs to go, now, in the hopes that his resignation will end this blossoming madness. Otherwise, it is simply going to prove to be a serious drag on Obama during a highly contested election season.
Time for Holder to do the right thing, time to put this mess to bed. Let us hope that everybody involved learned a serious lesson coming out of this, namely that precedent setting programs set up under a Republican administration simply aren't worth pursuing.

1. More than anything, I want Holder out of DoJ
and replaced with a progressive AG that'll go after the right-wing and stop chasing after MMJ patients.
You moron, there isn't another AG that could be much farther left than Holder.

3. I'm trying to be as supportive as possible
of President Obama during this election season, but Eric Holder is terrible as AG. President Obama should fire him, but I understand why he has to hold onto him during election season. Once the President wins again, he should give Holder the boot and hire someone that is interested in prosecuting real criminals instead of harassing medical marijuana patients.
Okay DUmmies, one last time there is no such thing as medical marijuana under federal laws. Any state that allows medical marijuana is doing so in violation of federal laws. You DUmmies are all for Holder going after states for their immigration or voting laws, but not your precious weed.

2. I completely agree
This is going to become high profile very quickly and saying "but Bush did it too" will look worse than stupid.
It already looks worse than stupid, because it is a flat out lie.

8. what was right would have been to shut down the ****ing program
it was illegal and stupid. It violated our own laws and it violated Mexico's laws. As soon as they discovered Bush's disaster, they should have shut. it. down.
The real results would have been the end to a stupid and illegal program a couple years ago, and no mess to deal with today. Those are the real results.
Stop lying. The program during President Bush's administration was completely different, and it ended during his administration. Obama and Holder started this mess on their own and they own it.
