If any of the DUchebags worked they would know that Memorial day is one of the BIG SIX holidays that a large majority of small business honor.  The others being Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. So most business will be shuttered DUmbasss. Only major corporations, convenience stores, and restaurants are open then.

They think you're in a fundie paradise if you're closed on holidays, but DUmmies want to work 30 hours a week and have 5 weeks paid time off every year. How's that for consistent?

Some of the local car dealers were open Memorial Day and having big sales, to boot.

Shouldn't the title to this thread be "Rage against the Fruit Loops"?

So, I went to Wild Oats yesterday. I mean, I wouldn't have gone at all except I was already in Eugene because there's nowhere to get your hair cut in Cottage Grove except Super Cuts and everyone knows they grow their hair cutters in hair cutting factories. It's fine if you want to look like Jennifer Aniston when she was on friends, but anything more updated and you need to go to a real salon. Besides, Wild Oats was right near the freeway exit I needed to get on to go home and it would save me a trip to Safeway which was more out of my way. I was looking for canned fruit cocktail but all they had was this overpriced organic stuff. I like the stuff made in Taiwan because those Taiwanese really know how to mix fruit...the kind that grows on trees, not the ones in San Francisco. Anyway, I decided I'd look for some wheat grass juice. I hadn't had any for a very long time...since I was in college and thought I was a feminist at least. So I read the label thinking I would find the name of a good old fashioned organic farm in America. I just couldn't believe it! It was made in Canada! We have perfectly capable wheat grass farmers in America and Wild Oats imports it from Canada! It's probably been pissed on by a mountie too. I ended up leaving the store without buying anything and went to Walmart. It's a little bit out of my way but I'm looking forward to a really hot summer so I thought I'd do my part by increasing my carbon footprint. And they have their own brand of fruit cocktail which is reasonably priced and mixed and canned by authentic Taiwanese.

Good one! Anyone who has never been inside a Wild Oats store needs to find one and check it out. You will walk from aisle to aisle, laughing your ass off. If the item itself isn't as goofy as hell, then it's price is. The clientele looks like they crawled out of the woods after an outdoor Dead concert. How they find enough addled hippies with money to stay in business is beyond me.

"WILD OATS" ???? Shopping ????? .....Apparently I'm missing something. Here where I live in the deep south we just sow'em, we don't shop'em.
