A tie is still a tactical victory for Romney, since he had the momentum going into this; a tie does not change that dynamic, only a clear-cut Obama win would have done that.
True dat. Both gave good performances. I would say it was a tie. However, the points that Romney made were the most important ones. That being the economy and unemployment which Romney won decisively. I think that Romney poll numbers will go up even though Obama did much better in the second debate.

Then he rattled off a bunch of other non-relevant things!  I was yelling "answer the question, you dick!"

Another dickish thing he said was about the size of each others pensions.  "Yours is bigger."  First, does he really want that soundbite out there floating around, to be mocked mercilessly on the internet?  Second, he sounded like a petulant, pathetic loser.

And my response would have been, "Yeah, that's why my wife is always smiling, and yours has that constant scowl" then winked at Michelle for effect.

The Libya thing is going to haunt Dear Leader.  The more I think about the more I realize he backed himself into a corner.  After weeks of trying to convince people that the attack was the result of a Youtube video, he actually tried to insinuate that the day after the attack he was calling it an "act of terror."  That's beyond deperate.  That's suicidal.

I dunno about anybody else, but the sense I get from "feedback" I've seen on the internet and out here in real life, apparently Romney could've flubbed, and it still wouldn't cause any loss of his supporters to Barack Milhous.

I really think most people have already made up their minds.

Which is bad news for the primitives.

Plus for the second day in a row he had to hide behind a skirt to cover for him.
It seems though that is the story emerging from the thing, how she incorrectly sided with him and then within an hour retracted it.

Nobody except the die hard partisans are voting for Obama.

What is deciding this election is whether or not people become comfortable with voting for Rmoney.

As soon as they realize it is OK to vote Rmoney, they will.

It could be any number of reasons why they admit to voting Rmoney, i.e. he was too unknown, they fear being called racist, Obama was protected by the myth of inevitability.

Now that Rmoney has fractured the myths and presented himself as acceptable people are free to join the winning team in the 4th Quarter.

We did what we, as partisans for our ideology, needed to do: not go batshit insane like liberals do. The DUmbasses manufacture 90% of their greatest ills and curses. By staying sane we were not merely "The Base" that was needed, we were the foundation that made it OK for the middlers to step on to our territory. Now we need to spend the next 4 years justifying their trust.

I couldn't get too many personal comments in last night, but I have to say that Romney knocked it out of the ballpark on the economy and that's what people care about more than anything. I was a little ticked at Crowley for correcting Mitt wrongly on Benghazi, she felt no need to correct Obama on things he was wrong about like drilling etc. but this could work out even better because Twitter was full of posts showing proof that Crowley was wrong, and as stated she said within the hour that she was wrong. The next debate I think is going to be foreign policy, and no freaking way is Bob Schieffer going to do what Crowley did, and no doubt Mitt will bring that up, and no doubt he'll find a way to bring Fast and Furious into the debate, add that to the Middle East being on fire amongst other things.

I don't even think that if, in four days, Zero finds the mastermind im Benghazi, goes over there, chops the guy's head off, and keeps it in a jar on the podium for the debate, he'll win a second term.

Late to the party, but did anyone "go read the transcripts", or is the "act of terror" statement what they are going with?
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

no doubt he'll find a way to bring Fast and Furious into the debate,

He needs to; the press it has gotten in the US is over lying and one dead Border Patrol uniformed officer, but there are more than two hundred Mexican citizens lying dead across the border thanks to the illegal movement of those weapons down there, all done with the full partnership of Obama's DOJ.  Holder, a couple of US Attorneys, and several ATF and DOJ staffers should all be facing charges in Mexican courts for hundreds of counts of what we would call Conspiracy, Felony Murder, and Accessory Before the Fact in our own courts.

And all done purposely to get more gun control laws in the US until it backfired on them.

I am finding it funny that the liberal news stations are saying obama won big last night, but all the focus groups are saying other wise ...

Here is the tweet I sent to Cnn's John King last night:

Quote
John King - '#cnn poll has @BarackObama scored as #debate winner but @MittRomney gets higher marks on econ, hcare, taxes. So winning may not change much'

Quote
Me - @JohnKingCNN @BarackObama @MittRomney Focus groups are all saying Romney won. Obama got nowhere tonight.

We don't nomally prosecute for "royally ****ing up." That usually ends in being cashiered. I figured that would be the best we could hope for in this case. If Obama loses then Holder et al are pretty much beyond reach because successors don't prosecute their predecessors lest their own sucessors vindictively return the favor.

Still, when irks me the most is we still aren't sure if this was simply a royal ****-up or a malicious efforts to put the 2nd A in a bad light because we still do not know what the overall objective was supposed to be thanks to Executive Piss-a-ledge.

I think the best we'll get is Rmoney releasing the docs at the end of his own term unless the congress really sticks hard in demanding something from him.

The DUmmies live in a bubble of their own making.  There are countless threads proclaiming Obama won by a knockout and numerous other threads talking about Romney's "gaffe" on Libya.

They must not have seen that Crowley has admitted she was wrong about Obama calling the embassy attack an act of terrorism.
