Mr. MINDCRIME is a lesser moron, that's all.  I laughed when he would pull a Little Goon's tail, but in the end, he has a tail too.  His is just not as long.  

Little Goon Island is a less fun place today.  It isn't any darker, and it certainly isn't any brighter (and I'm not talking about candlepower).

Sorry, but the community really supported him when he was going through some hard times - but it wasn't long until the inner-bully reared his ugly head again. That double pisses me off, that we were nice to him and he accepted the goodwill, but didn't respect it.

In his own way, he was quite bemusing. With no disrespect intended towards the late and the lamented, I perceived him as the court jester who took himself more seriously than he took the court, resulting in even the most the most serious of his statements as little more than latent buffoonery.

You may have read The Stand by Stephen King, and recall the character Harold Lauder-- the tragic, self-appointed savior of his own selfishness and self-defined righteousness. Every post I'd read by Our Most Copious poster filled me with images of Harold's writings in his own journal. A bastion of stage-intellect and convenient integrity unto himself.

But in the end, he is precisely who he wants to be-- internet or no, anonymous or no. And while getting banned from DU may not even make the radar of most people in this world, there are worse consequences when we provoke the wrong people. And I can only hope that he may perceive that prior to any of those darker end-results.
