One guy I served with - a bassoon player no less - is the most ardent, shrill, asinine, misinformed, and ridiculous lib I think I've ever run across. A great guy by all accounts - but he's drunk so much of the WA Kool-Aid (he lives in Olympia) his eyes are permanently glazed over.

I'm convinced it's in the water.  :p 

He was a woodwind player, what would one expect ??  You know what they say about male woodwind players...... :whistling:

yeah, something about "keeping the reed wet". They start talking that kinda stuff, I tune out. In fairness, though, this guy hasn't touched his bassoon since he retired - probably 1997 or so.
