Don't tell me that the government shouldn't redistribute rich people's wealth...My great uncle, Joe Louis, was once the richest black man in America.
Although he was much too generous with his money and he made several bad business deals, it was a witch hunt by the IRS, backed up with some of the highest marginal tax rates in this country's history, that did him in.

So wingers, teabaggers, fiscal conservatives, anti-socialists and generally greedy assholes, DON'T TELL ME that the rich shouldn't have to pay their fair share after all these years. The rich have been living far too high off the fat of the land for far too much and for far too long... And all of us have paid for it.

His family lost their sugardaddy because of  high taxes on the rich(Lewis admitted that he overlooked the new tax laws).  Yet somehow, he interprets that to mean we need higher taxes.

Uh, Joe Louis made bad business decisions? If I'm not mistaken, he spent his money like water, would walk down the street handing out $20 bills, invested  in every hair-brained scheme that came down the pike, gambled like he was a Rockefeller and could never run out of money, was in bed with the Mob on occasion, let complete idiots manage his interests, AND didn't bother to pay his taxes.

WOW! Wonder why the IRS might be interested in where his money went?

The rates are incidentals... The IRS could have made some deals for payment of back taxes... Instead, they went on a witch hunt.
