'May Day' protests turn violent in Downtown Seattle
« on: May 01, 2012, 05:17:58 PM »
Leftist nuts in full destructive mode now!

Quote
SEATTLE -- Some May Day protestors are running rampant in Downtown Seattle, smashing windows at businesses and cars as they marched through city streets Tuesday afternoon.

Video from Air 4 has shown smashed windows at a Wells Fargo, a Downtown Federal Courthouse, and Niketown, among others.

KOMO News reporter Joel Moreno says he and his photographer had been hit with a paint bomb while covering the march and ensuing riot.

He says about 50 people clad in all black outfits were throwing paint at buildings and cars, marking the anarchist symbols, "but there were certainly others not dressed in black participating in criminal behavior."

The march itself began with about 200 people and then the group in black inserted itself into the middle of the parade body.

"They wasted no time," Moreno said. "They went about two blocks before they started damaging property."

Moreno said that's when he was hit with a paint bomb. But up ahead he started hearing glass shatter.

"We turned the corner and saw large storefronts at Wells Fargo smashed in," he said. "We saw a firebomb of some sort at the U.S. Court of Appeals where they went in and bashed the windows." Moreno said it looks like a firebomb was lobbed inside: "We saw smoke coming from inside the windows."

As protestors smashed windows at Niketown, store owners at nearby American Eagle store blocked their doors while customers were still inside in an effort to keep rioters out.

Police were using pepper spray, said a Seattlepi.com photographer who was caught in a melee.

There are no word on the number of any arrests.

One of the biggest things I've seen today that pisses me off to no end is that they coopted a young man, possibly with Down's Syndrome, into their riot.  It's unlikely he has the cognitive skills to understand what's happening in the big scheme of things--he just wants approval, and this crowd or individuals in it are giving it to him provided he does their bidding.

Sick, sick bastards.  All of them.

Oh, and NOW the Seattle mayor calls out an emergency--ya think, dude?

These dummie politicians need to come down to New Orleans during Mardi Gras and learn how to control crowds. Don't move when they tell you to then they start cracking heads. The force has a new tank like no other in the country. It has several water cannons, can dispense tear gas and has a 50 cal. machine gun mounted. All three of these can be rotated 180 degrees. I would be dangerous with that thang.  :fuelfire: :whistling:

I went down to the Court House to pick up my CCW permit yesterday.  On my way out, I stopped and talked with the deputy sheriff manning the metal detector at the entrance (he knows me, in a GOOD way).

He said those things have been going out the door "like hotcakes", he's seen more issued in the last 2 years than in the previous 20, and he believes something is coming, something bad.

I told him I agreed with him, seems like people these days have NO common sense anymore, and think they expect to have everything handed to them on a silver platter.

He told me to practice A LOT with my pistol, be safe, be smart, and if I was anything like my father (like I said, he knows me), he knows I won't start any trouble, but I'll darned sure finish it.

So now everyone in this household has a permit, we have guns, we have ammo, and we have every intention of keeping everything else we have, regardless what DUmmies think or don't think about property rights.

To any lurking DUmmies, it's 200 yards of open field from the road to get to my house, and I have a driveway alarm.  You feeling "lucky" today?

I hate all these ****ers who protest "police brutality" while wearing ****ing masks (I reject your motives as legitimate if you choose to hide your identity in America at a protest). Its not brutality if you hurl a flaming bottle at a cop while shouting **** the police and then you get your ass whipped. Brutality is unwarranted police violence, not the force they use to subdue your resisting ass after you assault them and cause damage to society. Store owners should be given the right to defend their stores.

:edit: correction, store owners need to take back their right to defend their stores and places of business. Government doesn't give us shit.

You said it, Nancy. You dumb bitch.

Occupy Movement's List of Demands:

1. Restore a living wage. Evidently this is best accomplished by imposing tariffs on imports that make American products are competitive. No information about how this will increase wages here or how this country's workers will be able to afford said goods since they'll now be priced beyond what most of us can afford. Nor has there been any thought about what constitutes a living wage and how such a policy would be instituted or how the ensuing chaos would be dealt with.

2. Single payer. Enough said.

3. (This is one of my favorites & isn't to be confused with #1): Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment. I'm guessing this is just an expansion of #1 that includes "self employed" pizza & Cheetos testers working from their basements who currently aren't being paid for said work.

4. Free College Education. No information as to how to fund this but I had no idea one needed a PhD to moan & bitch, protest in streets, wear the same dirty clothes for weeks on end, pretend to be victims on the Internets, etc.

5. Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand. Because after the failures of Solyndra, Solar Trust, UniSolar, Beacon Power, etc. they learned so much that it will really, really, really work this time.

6. One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now. No suggestions of how this will be paid for either. Perhaps it will come out of 0bama's stash.

7. One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants. Since this has been a continuous source of angst since Rachel Carson wrote Silent Spring nothing needs to be said, except thank God for Earth Day.

8. Racial and gender equal rights amendment. I don't know why gays aren't important to these people but, frankly, I'm glad these people want to keep me safe from male chauvinist pigs...evidently rape at occupy protests aren't discriminatory. Or maybe being attacked by a filthy hippie is simply another alternative lifestyle.

9. Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live. I think this one kind of negates #1. That said, those of you living near the borders would have real money making opportunity here. Just go to Mexico or Canada, purchase those items that have become too expensive (thanks to the "living wage") and sell them on the black market. If you fear getting caught, just hire a Mexican (paying them a living wage, of course) to bring said products over the border. They're a protected class and have more rights than you.

10. Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system. Putting aside for a minute that it was the left who was screaming for electronic voting until it was instituted, I wouldn't have a problem with this as long as showing a photo ID is required as well. If it's good enough for Canada and the majority of the European nation, it's good enough for us.

11. Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, student loans. However, this idio...uh, progressive doesn't want to just stop at the individual but wants, "I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period." I'll be calling Citi tomorrow demanding they forgive my mortgage personal line of credit.

12. Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies. Because every deadbeat should be able to walk into any store and buy anything they want, set up a payment plan and just pay what they want...or not pay. This works for me because one of the items in my bucket list is to own a pair of Jimmy Choo's but they're way out of my budget.

13. Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union. Well as long as they also have the right to NOT sign and tell the unions to go to hell and never come back if they choose. Oh, and every worker should also have the opportunity to opt out of their union, thus being able to get pay raises and promotions based on how hard they work and how well they do their jobs. Considering most Americans don't want to join a union this would be a great thing.

The end result according to this Occupooper: "These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy."

This is so ridiculous it's stunning. I don't know that I have words to express the stunning ignorance nor how disjointed this is. There are so many "demands" here it's schizophrenic.

THERE .. RIGHT THERE .. is the problem!
We have all been so indoctrinated that we can say permit without choking on the word!

Our permit came via the 2nd amendment and we shouldn't have to get 'permission' from the Government to own or carry a gun!

How many 'criminals' run down to the courthouse to get permission to carry?

What do you believe is the reason for permitting anyone to own and carry a weapon?

What do you do if or when they take your permit away from you .. for whatever reason?

Sorry but this subject just gets me GOING!

(Government can track permits .. that's why criminals don't bother)

I don't want to turn this into a firearms thread, but it can be argues that the 2nd applies to the Federal Government.  Not the state or local governments.

I would like to address demand #4.
"Free" college education.
This should be an unlimited right, any amount of associates, bachelors, masters, and PHD's. You should be allowed to accumulate an unlimited amount of college degrees at any college of your choice, free.
