Thanks Chris, I'll start a thread.
My son was born in Hawaii and I could not find his birth certificate when he went into the Army. We wrote to Honolulu for a duplicate and they sent me his BC ---The long form.
There is one rout the Governor can go to find out what is what that I found out from a friend looking for her birth Father.
Her BC names her adopted father and the name of the hospital she was born in, she went to the hospital and they gave her a list of all the baby's born on her birthday. She has an unusual first name and found a listing for a baby with her first name and a strange last name.
Didn't take her but 2 days to track down her father though the phone book.
Also there will be a record of the passengers on the ship she took to get Hawaii, if in fact she actually did sail and not fly home. Women back in 1961 did fly while in advanced pregnancy and some do it today.
Hi YYYN I am Vesta the crazy old lady of the forum and the red haired step child, they, the members beat me up alot but I most likely ask for it.
It makes little sense to me that with the mothers education, she so close to her "DUE" date would take a boat home. That far along and 5-6 day journey, on a rocking boat, and not just flown home in 8-12 + hours, back then.
