I love nutmeg. I put a pinch in baked apples, squash & pancakes, but never in spaghetti sauce. Granted, I rarely make it because my mom drowned just about everything we ate in some kind of red sauce.

I used to put in a quarter of a bag of frozen peas too, but lately I've been slowly becoming hostile about peas.
I hope that's a stab at recipe humor.

For years, I thought peas were an essential part of any beef stew; one had to have them in there, no matter what.

But alas peas turn to mush, and so this time I finally said "screw it," and left them out.
