5. True - and what she does makes her money,
which is at its core a Republican value...

9. Making money isn't a GOP value
It's an American value. Everyone, including me, wants to have money. Yes, some want it more but I'm certain there are plenty of greedy Democrats.

As far as Britney goes, she certainly does make money. She's expected to make more than 100 million from her current tour (which sadly hasn't come to Detroit). I've read that she is quite generous and gives a lot to charity, although she isn't as public about her donations as some celebrities.

8. She's not a Republican

People keep using one statement where she said we should support "the president" not "President Bush" as evidence that she's a Republican. That was a position that was, sadly, also common among non-Republicans back in 2003.

She does support gay marriage so maybe there's more to her than you think

13. I suspect she only supports gay marriage...
 ...to keep her options open.

 :lmao:

The thread is growing, as the DUmmies fight over Britney...

24. While they might not be my cup of tea...
... Eminem and Kanye West are without a doubt very talented at what they do. There are also quite a few very talented female vocalists that sing without computerized effects.

Her fame and wealth aren't reasons for not giving her compassion. Her own behavior is. Her 48 hour marriage, her hooking up with K-Fed even though he was taken with a kid on the way, her flashing her genitals in public, her driving around without her kids in the safety seats, her ducking a drug test by shaving her hair off and getting tattoos, etc. She behaves like a spoiled, undisciplined fool.

Wow, nothing like the pot calling the kettle black! What about code pink showing off their sagging tits in public???? I would look at Britney's accidental exposure of her monkey before I would ever want to look at Code Pink's nipples!!!  :lmao:

So Dr. DUmmy PhDipshit shows up to explain......

26. Her behavior was a result of her bi-polar disorder
If you've noticed that since she was hospitalized twice in mental facilities, her behavior has been under control. I bet if we had cameras constantly following other undiagnosed, unmedicated bi-polar patients we would see some crazy behavior from them as well.

Eminem's new music is so bad. It feels so dated. Kayne is a douchebag and his music is very, very overrated.

"that sing without computerized effects"

Once again, if you listened to her live performances, you would see her voice is the same live as it is on her CDs. Repeating this inability to sing without computerized effects BS won't be true no matter how many times you repeat it.

As far as vocal ability, the only female pop singers that are much better than Britney are Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson.

:lmao:  It's a great thread, they argue about pop starts that don't write their own songs! The horror!

15. Another hot family values mess.

Family values? Sitting at home watching CNN eating free food, in subsidised housing, posting on DU?

A point I made to a lady-friend of mine, who happens to be a Britney Spears fan of Chris Crocker-like proportions, not more than a month ago:

"Back when Britney first came out, every guy I knew wanted to nail her, and none of us stood a chance with her.  Now she's such a train wreck that any one of us could hook up with her, and none of us would want to."
