A Portrait Of Our Economy...
« on: April 20, 2015, 06:45:08 PM »
If the owebumeconomy continues it's current "arc"...

Quote

The Greek government has ordered a mandatory transfer of cash reserves from state-owned enterprises to its central bank, in a desperate bid to gather enough cash to remain solvent.

Citing "extremely urgent and unforeseen needs”, the government issued the emergency decree which will also apply to all local government bodies.
The move comes as Athens' cash crisis degenerates with every passing day.
Even the most conservative estimates calculate the government's coffers will run dry in a matter of weeks.

Despite the risk of violating its fiduciary obligations, the decree could now help the government meet its monthly €1.7bn wage and pension bill, averting a default on its own citizenry.

It is thought the confiscation of reserves held in commercial banks to the Bank of Greece could raise as much as €2bn for the government.

Libs never think about a rainy day.
But with their policies continuing to be implemented the rainy day they never think about is coming.
What's happening in Greece now is just a microcosm of the rainy day that's coming here.

There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

But just ask the DUmmies. They think Greece should just stiff the banks that have loaned them money and do the same to all the other countries that have loaned them cash.

That type of thinking is expected from the same people who engineered the bankruptcy of Detroit.

Many of the states in the US have the same mindset. Louisiana Gov. Jindal  with his voodoo economic policies has placed us with a billion dollar shortfall for the next budget. The severance taxes from oil has declined sharply. Consequently, deep cuts will be made in education and health. Yep, we need a Presidential candidate like Jindal.

Illinois is facing a lot of across the board cuts because we finally have a republican governor that is trying to do something about the state debt.

Decades of Democrat rule have left Illinois with some painful choices to be made. We just got rid of a temporary tax hike that the last governor said would help fix things, but instead they just spent more money.

Gov. Tom Wolf democrat of Pennsylvania;
Quote
HERSHEY, Pa. (AP) – Gov. Tom Wolf is telling Pennsylvania’s local officials his property tax cut plan will help them.

Wolf spoke before about 3,000 people Tuesday at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors. The Democrat said his proposal would tap new state taxes to reduce local school taxes and redistribute that burden to remove inequities between wealthy and poor districts.

BUT,

State House Republicans plan tax bill similar to Gov. Wolf's;
Quote
HARRISBURG — House Republican leaders plan to advance a property tax bill similar to a proposal by Gov. Tom Wolf.

Like the budget proposed by the Democratic governor, the bill from Rep. Stan Saylor, R-York, would boost the rates of the personal income tax and sales tax while distributing money to school districts to reduce their property taxes.

How are republicans different from democrats again ?   :thatsright:

Any time a politician tells you he/she is going to lower a tax and raise another as an offset, get ready to take it up the wazoo.

Next will be pot and then prostitution in many states. These money blood sucking politicians are heading us to the gutter morally and economically. Even the NBA commissioner wants to legalize gambling on their games.  Sad.

It used to be that only the Sicilian mobsters ran vice rackets.
Now governmental entities have taken over,
Prostitution
Numbers
Drugs
Alcohol
Gambling

The libs tell us they have to give away welfare to promote the general welfare.
How does legalizing vice help to promote the general welfare ?
It doesn't.
All it does is advance the lib agenda.
