My name is Alex, I'm 16, a junior in high school, and I live in Virginia. I'm very interested in politics, and was looking for a place to talk amongst people with a similar viewpoint and this looks like a pretty good place. When politics is brought up at school and I open my mouth, I'm often scolded by my teachers and told I need to be more tolerant. I would say I know a lot more about the economics side of things and less about foreign policy. I'm very pro-life as well. Looking forward to posting here!

Okay, the usual and standard and customary interrogatory.
How did you find us?

I would ask what kind of beer you prefer, but you're too young.

In front of my folks, yes. On my own? Too scared to pull that crap. They were real clear that way.
And "underage" is a relative term. I always found it more than a little hypocritical that I could have a beer on base but not outside the gate.

I can't say much-- I helped brew ~200 gallons of beer for a couple of years when I was around 16.
I remember my alcohol of choice was Everclear mixed with something to hide any trace of an alcohol taste. Coke or Vanilla Coke (I think it had just come out) seemed to do the trick quite well. The deception worked out quite well, until one time I mixed myself up a can and set it down, and my mother mistakenly thought it was hers, and drank it. :thatsright:

You are brave.
That stuff was "banned" in Wisconsin. You could NEVER find it.

Welcome Alex and hope you enjoy and learn here.
It was a long time ago I was 16 and figured I knew what life was and should be.
I now know half of what I thought I knew at that age but that is okay because when I was 16 I really didn`t know anything so still an improvement. :p
