Time to take back the term "Liberal"

As we all know, over the past couple of decades the RW pundits worked a subtle campaign which eventually turned the term "Liberal" into a dirty word. They were so successful, that many Liberals now call themselves "Progressives" to avoid the "dirty word" Liberal. Recently, they used "Talk Radio" but prior to that they used flyers/handouts/mailers and more recently chain emails.

It's time to reclaim the true meaning of the term again, just like JFK did in 1960:

http://www.liberalparty.org/JFKLPAcceptance.html

This is our mission: we begin our own campaign of flyers/handouts/mailers/emails to take the term Liberal back and redefine it BACK to it's original meaning!

And here is my idea for a flyer/handout/mailer/chain email:

In Gothic or Garamond or some other "ancient press" font:

In 1776, the Liberals were:

then insert a recognizable picture of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, like this one:

below that in the same Gothic font ...

And the Conservatives were:

insert a picture of the british Redcoats, such as this one...

you could stop there, or if you wish add a couple of quotes from RW Conservatives talking about "rounding up" or "killing" Liberals. There are plenty of outragious statements to this effect by Ann Coulter, Micheal Savage, and Rush Limbaugh. Just be careful not to over-do it. I know, I know, they already over-did it, but less is more. Do one or two or maybe three, and then let them find the rest on their own. And be sure to do it in a small font, as if it barely deserved recognition.

Finally, I would end it with something like:

Think about it, Fellow Patriot!

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

Redefining the word or labelling honorable people of the past with it isn't going to change anything, dumbass. If you call yourself a liberal then your actions in the here and now are going to define it. Right now, liberal stands for nanny gubmint, social engineering, high taxes, moral relativism, weak defense, appeasement of enemies and tens of millions of unborn murdered, among other things. Fancy slogans aren't going to fool anyone.

Earth to moonbats; liberal does not mean communist.

That is all.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I'm glad to see them admit that talking about what liberalism really is has made it a dirty word.  That honesty is refreshing coming from the DUmp..

What's funny is that "progressive" now is tainted.

Jeeze, how is it possible a sexist, racist, condescending, socialist political agenda could taint the words used to describe it?

What a great idea! Maybe WE can take back the word "gay" with pictures of happy people contrasted with pix of dying AIDS patients, homosexual pride parades, and same sex couples making out in public.

What do you think?
