He who is better than you books a budget cruise and is somehow surprised by the company. Of course, it most likely stems from him seeing a MAGA hat somewhere off in the distance and now he's turned it into "these unwashed poor people are ruining my 1200 dollar dream cruise".
The man can't even get on a boat without noting how much better/smarter/richer/stronger he is than anyone else.

Report from the cruise ship:
Many shirts reading “I’m voting for the Convicted Felon”. Many mouth-breathing hideous-looking people with tattoos reminiscent of biker gatherings.

There are three thousand passengers and many many of them are, well, they wouldn’t belong to DU, I’ll put it that way. Many fairly rude, drunken fools: I’ve been cruising for over 40 years and the sense of decorum is if not missing, it’s under attack. Of course there are many decent people but we are outnumbered by the rubes. And this is a high-class cruise line, not some Carnival excursion.

This…is who we are. I never ever wish to hear that cliched contrary opinion again that this ISN'T who we are.

UGP ETA: PCI changed his story to claim they were "white supremacist" tattoos. Were that true he would have included that factoid in his original story, so he lied to cover his @$$ after a (probably) tattooed DU-Denizen called out PCI's tattoo-snobbery.

Back in May 2016 Mrs. SVPete and I did a cruise with the Mouse to celebrate, well, a significant anniversary. It started in FL, had a couple of East Coast stops, did a northern crossing, and ended at Dover England. By then we knew we would be voting for Trump. While we never talked anything political, our dinner table probably thought I was a bit crazy ... I did a walking half marathon using the promenade deck (1/3-mile circumference, 40 laps).

Cruiselines accept all kinds of people's $$.

"Fairly rude, drunken fools" describes a LOT of the people currently on DU; Just read the average Bouncy tale there, they come across as incredibly rude and indeed fools in spite of trying to make it seem like they're the good guys.
