Mmmm... yummy mold....

If you don't like blue cheese, it just leaves more for the rest of us!

Interesting how Roquefort is made, they age it in caves.

I just read that before penicillin, the shepherds used it on wounds to prevent gangrene.

I always thought it was cured under manure.

If they are made right, blue cheese burgers are the best- but pre-made frozen blue cheese burgers are a no-go.

1/2 pound beef patties, grilled medium-rare
Bacon
Mushrooms, sauteed in bacon grease
Marzetti's Bleu cheese dressing with extra cheese crumbles
Toasted bun (optional- I don't eat 'em, personally)

Served with an ice-cold Rolling Rock

Marzetti's is good but this one is my fav:

Also, while at Wendy's yesterday, I got a Chicken BLT Cobb Salad and put bleu cheese dressing on it. HOLY crap was that good!!

I had this tonight on a salad.

So you like Bob's sauce? Did you toss the salad?

No to turkey burgers. There's something about the idea of grinding up raw turkey that just doesn't seem right. I want my turkey roasted, then sliced on soft bread with lots of mayo, salt and pepper, with sweet pickles on the side.

Love bleu cheese crumbles in salad with a vinegrette. Add sliced rare sirloin...

I make a whole beef tenderloin stuffed with sauteed mushrooms, diced green onion and minced fresh parsley with crumbled bleu cheese, tied up, then marinated in red wine vinegrette for 8 hours, then baked for about 40 minutes.

On my burgers I want either pepper jack, provolone or swiss.
