Deck Stain

First off .. That ain't my deck and that ain't my legs so whistle all ya's want ... it wont bother me! :tongue:


I am getting ready to apply stain to a similar type of decking and wanted to know if there is an easy way of applying stain to about a hundred of the 'spindles'?

For you deckless folks .. that's those individual pieces of wood (upright skinny ones) that you can see in the picture!

I don't want to spray them .. THAT was a disaster the last time I tried THAT stunt! :hammer:

I can't answer your question, but I definitely need to apply some deck restorer to my own deck. I've not done anything with the deck in 5.5 years and it looks like it.

Use a garden sprayer. You will still have to wipe down the spindles so you don't get drips.

I was watching this thread, hoping that someone would have a handy idea.  I've used the small rollers.  Still labor intensive.  The garden sprayer sounds like a possibility.

Failing that, I did press the kids and their friends into service once.  Just had to keep after them to work from the top downward.   :)

Garden Sprayer, trust me. Also: DONT pile up any rags, BTW. Spontaneous combustion issues.
