Karma question
« on: March 27, 2013, 01:17:07 AM »
Most vBulletin message boards that use a reputation system (eg Karma here) provide an option to see what post received the points (Karma).  I have searched high and low on all the various screens available to me and have not found one that shows this info.  Am I missing something or is this particular feature not available here?

Clearly, answering simple questions is something of a challenge around here.

Karma is not something you can control. so don't worry about it. There are people here who want more BS's than Hi5s. I have no idea why I got most of mine. But those who complain about BSs tend to earn more just by complaining. You didn't help things by getting snarky.

Oh and BS for the mere principle of the thing. Have a nice day.

Clearly you are or you never would have searched high and low to determine how and why you received a BS.

I still thing CC should charge for BS.   They would mean SOOOOO much more, and be quite delicious actually.    :afro:

It's a simple system.

If you accumulate 1,000 High Fives, CC will send you a toaster oven.

If you reach 1,000 Bitch Slaps, you have to send it back. Clean, with no toast in it.

Here's a BS for you. Consider it a down payment.  :-)

There isn't one.  The +/- system here is very basic and doesn't provide any information at all.

Dutch bitchslaps people for just about any reason, or more often, no reason at all.  Autism is also a pet rock with some of the members.  Nobody actually cares about the karma, originally it was kind of a way of figuring out who the outliers were (Like Novaheart on CU), but over time there have been enough bitchslap wars and slapfights over bent feewings that it's pretty meaningless for that.  It's pretty much just an in-joke or game nowadays.

That was essentially Ape's question.

Where's the info?

Seems to me a very direct answer to that question could've been offered -- "There is no information regarding Karma" along with, maybe, a reason for that.

There are the Terms of Use. So why not a paragraph about Karma, along with a photo of Dutch, in them?

That should take care of it quite nicely.  :-)

And then the bitchslap fest continues, along with Ape's question having been answered.
